{Napoleonic Era} The Royal Prussian Army: Organisation, Battles and History Documentary

This is a short documentary on the Royal Prussian Army, who both joined and fought against Napoleon during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. My great-great-grandfather fought at Waterloo and shared his story with each generation after him, this is incredibly accurate to what he retold and wrote in his journal. The Russian Imperial Army actually admited non-nobility into the officer corps.

They did indeed, but the practice of purchasing commission or cronyism was quite rampant in the pre and after the revolutionary era of europe.

@@General-History101 It was certainly. In the portuguese army it was abolished after 1822. The british did after the Cardwell reforms.
