I said the same thing.. if he said swept by the lions or Packers maybe.. but the bears?.. yea nah
He picked the packer in both games then said we split this AND he said we lose every division game. Fire this clown.
Packers early outside is great, finish inside is great. Early bye might give TJ an extra week to recover and an early review opportunity for the new QBs. Only a few primetime games so a very regular weekly schedule. The young team should be gelling by the time they hit their inside home run over the last third of the season.

You're so correct. Delusional fans over starved for a winner. It's many years away. Talent is not there. Interior DL and OL a mess. Even after righting the ship which hasnt happened yet, it takes years to build chemistry and gel. And all of that assumes McCarthy is outstanding.@@tylerrhodes8792

8-9 next year is when we make the jump into our rebuild. Plenty of cap and JJ's rookie year out the way.
Defense will be the key. If they play lights out we may get to 500.

This schedule screams another 7-10 season
They were 7-10 with Dobbs/Mullens/Hall and DJ Wonnum and Dean Lowry starting, and Troy Dye starting multiple games, and they blew at least 2 wins (Broncos/Bengals) with those guys. So many players forced into starting last season who are already off the team or won't make the team.

@@seamb923 At least. If Kirk was QB we would be expecting to win the division. Folks are just less familiar with Darnold, but he has even more physical talent than Kirk and could easily prosper under KOC.
He can throw like Kirk and run like Dobbs - in fact he profiles very similar to McCarthy. What more would a Vikes fan want?

@@robe2504 we’re going 10-7 our defense is better then last season, and our defense was good last year. Kirk could have lead us to the playoffs and probably would have if he didn’t get injured.
The Vikings have literally NEVER lost to the Texans and they're on a 7 game win streak against the 49ers when they play them at home. We also always seem to beat the Packers the first time we play them, regardless of whose stadium it is. I'm not saying I think we'll win all 3 of these games, but if we're rolling with the "undefeated across the pond" logic, you might as well predict more wins for us in that early stretch

Biggest reason is they belive and set it up where they are hoping games and playoff seeding etc comes down to the final division games. So they say tbd so let’s say if the Vikings beat the lions and Seattle needs us to lose to make the playoffs they want us playing at the same time so Seattle doesn’t see us winning and go well we’re out why try? If that makes any sense?

Honestly, I think this could, go anyway I think they could win as few as 6 and as most as 11. One, thing we can all agree on is that there usually Mid-Pack, some can probably predict at least 7 to 8 Wins. It, also may depend on factors like injuries and if JJ Mccarthy truly is that guy.

This is spot on..I predict will be 1-5 going into the bye and jj McCarthy will start vs the lions and will be competitive in a lot of games etc but rookie pains and mistakes etc keeps us only 5-7 more wins

Excellent draft but still, let's be realistic. Rebuild. Not competitive rebuild and the other north teams are wayyy ahead of the curve vs. the queens. Even the Bears.
The defense played way above expectation last year with really no names or talent but I really feel the front 7 of our defense is set it’s a top 10 for sure..especially with Flores. The back end is a different story at safety we are fine with Mettellus and Bynum but corners are awful especially when Murphy got hurt that really was felt. The kj kid we drafted is going to be a steal every hilight of him is 1 on 1 and he picked off the Washington recievers who were drafted so he can ball. The problem is the qb of jj can step in right away or even if Sam darnold can just not put us in dumb situations I think we will be very competitive and pull some upsets. And next year will hit the ground running. Also next year is ravens curse year..every year we play the ravens if we win we go to the nfc championship if we lose coach gets fired! Don’t believe me look it up..98 nfc championship 2001 coach fired 2005 coach fired 2009 we won nfc championship 2013 coach fired 2017 nfc championship 2021 coach fired 2025 time will tell..

@@Ryguy1920 no what's dumb, is trading 2 yrs worth of picks for 2 players. Fran tarkenton started at 21, and played 18 yrs when defense was still allowed to knock the shit out of qbs. "Sitting for a year" is the nice way of saying "he got drafted to early"
@@bardsimpson1404 I’m critical of Kwesi but getting two potential super stars should be worth it and with free agency next year we can fill holes. Besides we still have our first next year which we can trade down and get way more picks if needed. I’m actually not sour on these moves.

Until this draft, kwesi got 1 good player in 2 drafts.IF both 1st rdr's are good this yr, that's only 3 players in 3 yrs. A top 10 pick that sits, is a waste of his career and picks that should have went to IMPROVING the team.
