  • The Toya-Usu UNESCO Global Geopark is located in Hokkaido. An eruption occurring approximately 110,000 years ago created a caldera depression. Water then accumulated for a long time to form Lake Toya. Repeated eruptions about 50,000 years ago in Lake Toya created Nakajima Islands, located in the center of Lake Toya. Mt. Usu, began erupting approximately 20,000 years ago.
Mt. Usu has erupted at least nine times since 1663 - four times in the 20th century alone (1910, 1944 - 1945, 1977 - 1978, 2000). The latest eruption of Mt. Usu in 2000 destroyed several buildings and caused damages to Toyako Town. Prompt evacuation orders and disaster preparations by local residents, however, prevented casualties. These destroyed buildings are now preserved as a part of the Geopark.

It has become a beautiful video. Through your video, I get the same feeling in my heart as you get from a very strong love affliction. Japan is simply a beautiful country which has a lot to offer as a Person and which one should respect. The Japanese have managed to unite their old traditions with today's modern world. Let another country do the same. In addition, the land of the rising sun also has landscapes that you could only dream of in your life. It is simply amazing to see what a country (despite the difficulties of the bombing at that time) has progressed so far and to become one of the most beautiful and modern countries in the world. Although there are also negative points such as the earthquake danger there, the Japanese have also remedied them with a lot of research and sophisticated plans. I think that the rest of the world should really take an example of this country and possibly. sometimes something from the Japanese takes over.❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
(If some Words don't make sense, it's because they were translated with Google Translater)
(I write this with my Heart, because i will never have the changse to go to japan😞)

Another part of Japan I didn't know existed. Now to explore the region on Google Earth.
Fun fact, at 2:50, the distance from the volcanic rock (Shōwa-shinzan) to the volcano in the far backround (Mount Yōtei) is about 18mi (29km).
