Half of these vendors don’t sit around and price every single card they have for sale before every single show they sell at. The market literally changes every single day, to price stuff out like that is insane. It’s perfectly normal to ask a vendor what their best is on something. There are SO MANY factors that come into play when pricing cards. Your mint is not someone else’s mint, pricing cards is subjective to the seller. Sit here and be salty all you want, you’re just not out there trying to get the deals that people are willing to make 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️

It's almost verbatim every vendors response is "what do you want to pay?" Then I typically respond with half jokingly. Kinda makes it a little more lighthearted entering negotiations instead of just offering a number. Everyone is different though on how they do it. No real right way if all parties come to an agreement in the end!

Lmao they don't have to say yes. You don't know what they own it for. What I think is a good deal they could have just doubled profit on the sale or more. They could have gotten all the cards in a vintage binder for a couple hundred bucks and that sale for 50% half off is already at 10,000% profit for them. It's a numbers game. If they weren't comfortable with the deal they wouldn't do it. I get plenty of no, especially on the vendors that are already 150%+ market price that are just gouging
@GrimHorizonTV I'm sure you do get plenty of no's. Just because you can do something doesn't always mean you should. As a card shop owner if someone comes in with a vintage binder and there is a gold star umbreon in it, is it right of me to offer $100 for the whole binder? Just because they have "nothing" into it doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. Of course they don't have to say yes, but then you persist with reasons why you need the card so cheap because you don't care about it being in the best condition for your binder. However you seem to be pretty quick to point out the flaws on their cards when it works in your favor. Just seems like an exhausting way to handle your deals. My opinion, but I simply don't agree with your approach.

Haggling is apart of going to shows….if you’re over paying for stuff don’t get mad at other people for getting better deals than you 🤷♂️ at the end of the day if both parties are satisfied it shouldn’t matter.
