glad you switched spots, now I don't have to watch the video in a mirror. the media blitz adds stars, so it's subject to the park star limit, unless specified otherwise. before scoring Anthony should have returned all his cash to the bank because of the print shop, I believe. Frances forgot her ice cream shop for $4 on the last turn. if I did everything correctly the final score was 154-158, so it doesn't change the winner and makes the final score really close.
Haven't had time to watch yet, but just wanted to say how excited I am for this one. I received my copy in the mail last Friday. Got to play it with two friends over the weekend, and it's one of my favorites to come along in quite awhile. I even came in last!
1:07:21 Frances the benefit of a Vending Machine is simply efficient end game VPs. It is one of the cheapest Upgrades in the game and will net you many VPs for its trivial 2 coin cost. If you had built it onto your Hotel as your 7th icon it would have netted you 6 points for 2 coins (normally worth 1VP - so a gain of 5VP for your action), rather than the 15 cost Superior Quality which was a cost / VP neutral last turn build. You actually had a 7 star total on your Hotel already to more than satisfy the requirements for your Stay in Style blueprint (needing a 5 star total). It may also satisfy some Blueprint requirements, again more efficiently than any other Guest Services upgrade. This wouldn't have won you the game but a few little things like this can make all the difference :)
The funniest thing about this video is that I kept saying to myself .. oh no --- they are on the wrong side --- As odd as it sounds, I was very relieved when you took your normal sides for the video --LOL
You can build past the 15 star capacity but you only can get paid for the maximum of 15 unless you have certain cards(employees maybe) that allow you more.
You missed the point. You don't have to worry about building past the 15 stars if you have something that is the only thing you can do and it would put you past it.
Hey Steve, I literally just purchased this game recently, and stil learning it. I was also confused when Anthony payed for another attraction directly after he said he made the 15 Capacity mark. May you please explain in full detail that way I can understand that move more
Anthony and Frances, absolutely awesome playthrough! Thanks for once again sharing your experience on how to play through some of the best new games out there. I just opened my Kickstarter copy of Unfair and I'm going through the rules. Your videos always help me get up to speed quickly! I can't wait to play the game with my game group. In this playthrough video, Frances added the Superior Quality upgrade on her Monorail twice (to achieve a Blueprint goal). On page 9 of the rulebook, "2. Park Step - B.Build" it specifically states: "You cannot repeat upgrades with the same name on the same attraction". I felt like it's a bit confusing that the Blueprint she used with two Superior Quality directly contradicts the rules. Am I missing something? Great job as always guys! Looking forward to your next playthrough! Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks the the reply! I knew I must have been missing something. I wasn't able to read the card close enough on the video, and I haven't yet played my first game. Cheers!
Yes you can combine game changer cards. This game is so easy to play and it's awesome! Great game. My only complaint is the flimsy cards. I'd recommend this to anyone.
I have to agree that as soon as there is talks about more decks for this game that I'll be trying to be first in line to get them. Unfair is definitely an awesome game!
First off I started that "nah" thing and now everyone does it. Second, yes Unfair is a very fun game. I've played enough games in my life and I've played this one a few times so I know if something is good or not. So nah to your nah.
Lol. Look Joseph, it's ok that we don't like the same game. It is. But I truly like it. A lot. It's not The Gallerist or Blood Rage but it definitely scratched an itch for me. I like being able to build my park up and see how it turns out. Also the gangster and ninja decks have more "take that" in them than the other decks. That's why they say you should play your first game with the robot and pirate decks. I'm sure there are games you like that I don't too. It's not a big deal.
Anthony and Frances that was a pleasure to watch. Thank you for playing Unfair a few times before sharing your carefully considered thoughts and insights. You understand what is going here. And we aim to serve up plenty more where that came from. One key thing to remind your viewers: It's important to play your first game with the suggested theme packs and the First Date game changer card. see boardgamegeek.com/thread/1739809/important-suggested-first-game-setup-please-read Also to be clear the card mis-cut issue only affects the Kickstarter version and not the retail copies. You can be certain that future expansions will contain all sorts of interactions and Unfairness ratings to cater to a wide audience.
Fun to watch, as usual! I think you should have changed seats one more time... I haven't opened my KS copy yet, but may this weekend. When the second (or last) player has taken a card from the market on "Park 3", it annoyed me that you must replace that card just to discard everything. I'll house rule that out. I could be losing by a landslide, but that little thing would be the thing that bugs me!! lol Looking forward to more themes!
Michael Melen I also felt that drawing a new card for the market right before clean up was a bit annoying. But it does come in handy if you have the dumpster diving card...
Michael Melen I feel like the rules stating that as soon as a market card is removed another one is put in the market immediately makes sense regardless of whether or not it's before you clear the market or not. House ruling that just seems like cheating.
Another great playthrough but it seems like your missing a trick in building the cheap no star upgrades to get the huge return in VPs on your larger attractions.
Luís Ventura Hi Luis and thanks! That's a tough question. If I had to choose I would probably go with Unfair since it has such high variability. And I also really love the art.
Kunter Tätte Being mean in games is not something we enjoy and avoid games that have this as the core mechanic. However, this game does not demand it. You have choices. We just choose to ignore those actions by playing with the World Piece card. There are plenty of ways to generate points in this game without having to destroy your opponents' attractions.
You guys' relentless positivity almost covered over your negative feelings about the game, but if someone watched this review closely, they could see what you were actually saying, especially near the end.

Scotty Cross It really is a really good game.:)
Totally agree. I can't seem to get enough of this one.

yeah i like paying for stuff that doesn't pay me back b/c stars are cool

Excelent review, you make a great team! Very helpfull, keep going!

Bryan Barton On the Superior Quality card it states that you can have more than one copy of this on an attraction. Hope this helps.

how much are they giving you? i'll double it.

You're right. And I'm glad some people like it! But I ain't playing with you lol
As far as the components go the cards on top of being cut wrong are super flimsy and started curling almost immediately.

Yeah it's definitely "cheating." Now I understand the kind of person that would like this game! ;)
Joseph Sedita Dude we get it. You don't like this amazing game for whatever reason. Stop trolling. Seriously what is the point of commenting?
same point as you
Another great playthrough but it seems like your missing a trick in building the cheap no star upgrades to get the huge return in VPs on your larger attractions.
Hi Frances and Anthony. Love your playthrough videos! One question, what did you like most, Unfair or The Networks? Cheers from Portugal!
Luís Ventura Hi Luis and thanks! That's a tough question. If I had to choose I would probably go with Unfair since it has such high variability. And I also really love the art.
Can you two do a dinosaur island video? Please :D
I'll be reading the rules again tonight.
Thank you for switching
cool guys
So I guess you have nothing against meanness in games?

Joseph Sedita Yeah. They really liked it. It's a good game.:)
This is a really lousy game and I am sad that you have to play this game.
low iq individual
I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, but it's a dumb one.
