If you google the definition, or search "Bias" as a psychological phenomenon on Wikipedia, there's a consistent understanding that "bias" is something that involves a "disproportional weight" or "prejudice", in which case, this is neither disproportional weight or prejudice. These casters had reasons to believe U.S.A would win - evidence and statistics are not biased. This is the last thing I'll say on the matter.
US seem to lose their acuteness over the course of match, much like vs South Korea last year. Dominant performances early in the series quickly diminished. Muma allowing ES time and time again while landing little to none. Also nice trashtalk Zach I loved your blade

So weird watching this in 2019 at the end of the second season of OWL. That opening map, seeing team USA smash it not-on-GOATS would have had so much support in season 2 of OWL when everything was GOATS.

They don't appear to be playing cocky. They're not losing from over-extension. Honestly, I think Sinaatra doesn't enjoy playing Brigitte, and didn't respect mastering her positioning. That first point was a roll when Hydration and Sinaatra were on their preferred picks

I mean, probably. The only female OWL player at the moment is poor Geguri, who plays for the Shanghai Dragons. I think the reason does have to do with gender stereotypes, but not because Blizzards sexist. But more because there are a lot of girls who are like "no, that game looks like a boy thing", and those that do play it get harshly judged by friends and family, and thus cannot play enough to reach WC-level skill.
