Jenny I truly am sorry you have to experience this type of loss. Losing your mom is like no other. I lost my mom suddenly last November. I’m lost and the pain in unbearable at times. But I promise just when you think you can’t feel any worse a few normal days will begin to slip in.

Everything looked so fantatastic on you, it's hard to pick a favorite from the video... but, foundation junkie that I am, the Glossier Stretch Foundation was my fave. I've been thinking of trying it, along with that danged Polite Society foundation, but I recently picked up the Laura Mercier Super Secret Decoding foundation with the very long name that I can't actually remember. Whoo HOOOOOO! It is SO exciting to have you back on UA-cam. You are a natural on video, and such a pleasure to watch. I find myself smiling the entire time. This video was packed full of information on some great products. I'm so glad to see that Glossier created a foundation with more coverage. It seemed like the perfect amount of coverage, while still looking natural. I loved the shade on you! I don't usually buy high end products, but the foundation and concealer really caught my eye. I also LOVE that you treated yourself to the Patrick Ta eyeshadow palette. As much as you enjoy makeup, this will be a staple in your collection that I know you will reach for often!! I don't wear eyeshadow very often, but the matte palette I use is the Lorac Pro Matte palette (I've hit pan on the lightest shades.) You know you are my favorite UA-camr, because I come away from your videos feeling like I know everything I need to know about a product. Someday, lots more people will get to enjoy you too!!! Jenny, I have missed you so much! Norm too! I was worried that your absence was due to your mother's health. Unfortunately, I was right. You have my sincerest condolences on her passing. The loss of a mother hits hard. Mine passed away in 2005 and I still miss her terribly. I do dream about her, my father, and other loved ones often, so it's almost as if they're still here. It's wonderful to have you back slingin' the foundation! I've been wondering if you've tried Halsey's About Face "The Performer" foundation. I hadn't bought a liquid foundation in years, but I was tempted by the shade range and the promise of smoothness. My local Ulta didn't have it, so I had to guess which shade to choose online. I picked Fair2 Olive, thinking it wouldn't be too peachy or orange. The shade is a little dark, but not bad. The formula is great! I couldn't believe it. It is smooth and did not settle into lines, which is amazing. Oh, and it's only $22, so I'm going to get another shade that's lighter. I can mix them together. I don't really mind the doe foot applicator, which some people have complained about. Another bit of makeup news is Salt New York has introduced a concealer and a few color correctors shades. I think the concealer is similar to the Sneaky Balm but with more coverage. I'm waiting for mine to arrive. Most concealers flop on me. I get bamboozled trying to decide which ones would work. At $16, I figured it wouldn't break the bank to try it. I've rambled on enough. Welcome back, Our Lady of Foundations!! Kisses to Norm!!

I was SO afraid a few months back when they were selling some of their product out (i.e. their zipper palettes) that maybe that meant they weren't going to be around much longer.... so I am THRILLED to hear that they are out with new products! That company is SO amazing, and makes incredible products, so you can bet as soon as I finish typing this comment, I will be going to their site! 😍❤️

Just wrote a reply only to have it say, Error! Then it disappeared. Grrr. Anyway, the mother-daughter bond is strong. I was fortunate to have two much older sisters for support when my parents passed. The sadness does dim and makes way for the happy memories. But I do wish she was still here to share laughs with. She and my father both had great senses of humor. Back to makeup, I look forward to seeing your assessment of The Performer. The Salt NY concealer works well as a foundation, and the peach color corrector is very good. I'd be devastated if Salt NY went belly up. They do have a loyal following, which I hope keeps them afloat for a long time to come. I'm also tempted by the new Ilia foundation stick. I may get it eventually. It's on the pricier side, however, but lots of shades to choose from.

Is this similar to the Ulta Complexion Crush foundation? It's one of my favs and the Glossier looks like it might be comparable.
@marissac, I am SO SORRY! I just saw my note I write myself last night to remember to respond to this comment! 🤦🏻♀ Please forgive me for taking so long.... If it's not too late... here are my observations between the two:
You have a good eye! These DO feel similar!
They both feel VERY creamy (especially when compared to other foundations). However there appears to be one large difference, and that is the thickness of the formulas... while both seem to offer the same amount of COVERAGE, the Glossier is much thinner than the Complexion Crush. Additionally, I'm a bigger fan of the shade options (more neutrals if that's what you need) of the Glossier formulation. I hope this helps! And again, SO sorry for my delayed response!!! ❤❤❤

Unfortunately that foundation did not work for my 51 yo combination skin. It broke me out every time I put it on.
Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear that Luna. 😔❤️ I have to be honest, I'm not sure if I had a breakout after using it, because for the past few months I've been having so many (hormonal) acne problems, that I'm not sure if it was the foundation or the normal acne. I've been working really hard with a dermatologist, and medical esthetician to try to get it under control though, as I''d love to be able to help my viewers, by being able to tell them when a foundation causes a breakout. Thank you so much for letting me know though, so I can be aware of it when making recommendations to other viewers! 😇 And hopefully my skin will be back to normal soon, so I can start adding that aspect, as part of my reviews. Thank you for you patience! 🤗❤️
