Nostalgia for me too, I grew up in Elland and lived 2 doors away from what is now B&M - this used to be my junior school - South End School, they knocked it down and built a supermarket using all of the original bricks ! !
Hi there, thanks for the journey videos they are great. I moved to Cornwall 17 years ago and miss Yorkshire. Your bus rides are a real tonic don't change anything keep the real sound, the bus rattling when you drive over potholes, absolutely brilliant. I know nearly every street and road you drive on. I used to live in Northowram so 681, 682 Hx to Bradford would be good if you get the chance. Many thanks. Gary
Thank you for posting this. I was brought up in the Copley/Skircoat Green area of Halifax in the 1950s & 60s, so it was a real nostalgia trip for me. Its an interesting route now - its an amalgamation of what was in my day Halifax Corporation's Route 27 Halifax to Copley and Route 41 Sowerby Bridge to Elland, and Yorkshire Woollen's Elland to Brighouse service [ I forget the route no/]. Are you intending to post any more Team Pennine routes? The Ripponden Circulars 561 and 562 are very scenic rides.
I will upload some more videos, in the future. Hope you liked them, I use my phone to record them and I get weird looks sometimes, so I will be getting a go pro and upload them. 😊
I Remenber 570 Doing This Route In Yorkshire Rider days Via Elland Sowerby Bridge and It was Most Of The Northern Counties Leyland Fleetlines and Olympians did that Route
It is February 2023, I am sitting here in my family room, in Ontario Canada. Looking at this video on my 86 inch 4K tv. The large screen gives a more detailed view of everything. The start of the video showed a rather grim and depressing place too live. By the way I am old Brit who has lived in Ontario since 1965.
On the contrary, Halifax is a very attractive town of gold sandstone. This weather doesn't show it in its best light but having visited scores of towns and cities, Halifax is one of the more picturesque ones.

Halifax is a beautiful little town with a big personality, tbh weather is a bit dull when I filmed the vid
86 inch TV? You should be so lucky - I’m watching on my 10.2 inch iPad😉(I’m an old Brit from Newark [not Pom] who has lived in Sydney since 1969.) 🐨🇦🇺
