There’s a setting when you set up the franchise to turn off dev trait regression and desired dev traits. You can also change it mid-franchise but it’s easier to find at the start. Most people only use the regression and capped dev traits when they intentionally want a long-term franchise with lower ratings.
Weeks 3, 8, and 11 and Free Agency recap are the important ones for franchise. 3 lets you set divisional focusing and 8 allows national from your scouts. 11 allows you to pick 3 prospects to focus scout on and Recap the same thing. Hope this helps.

The QB rating discrepancy between Murray and Feldman in the wildcard was because of Feldman’s much higher yards per attempt (11.6 ypa vs 8.1 ypa). Murray may have thrown for more yards, but he did it on nearly double the amount of attempts (48 for Murray and 26 for Feldman)
40:17 Papa meags you had back to back picks, so after you selected at #18, you were on the clock right after and didn’t realize it so you simmed to the next user pick after that which was in round 2
I did the same rebuild, and I made a move that would be questionable to most but I think it works out, I traded back into the second round to get a player I really liked at wide receiver Cons: The 49ers have my third round pick and my future second Pros: Clyde Moats turned into an all pro receiver and won two opoys.

While on the trade screen, if you add the players you want to trade and draft picks you can press y or triangle and it’ll show you trade offers from cpu. You have the option to accept, restructure your side or counter the offer to adjust to your needs. Not sure if you knew about it but it could help
