Just a correction: the female and cubs were North American Black Bears (Ursus Americanus). Identifying field marks in your photos and vids are: roman (long snout) nose, Mickey Mouse ears, lack of a shoulder hump. I have done much grizzly and black bear research and worked in Glacier Park one season. Thanks for your Mushroom Wonderland channel!
Hello I came here to say this also. Not a grizzly just a mama black bear with a bit of cinnamon color. We get a lot of cinnamon black bears here in this part of canada and the usa
please be careful with those bears bro we wanna continue watching the wonderful videos you do ,i think alot of people carry firearms into those environments .
I had a dream were I found porcinis for the first time. And then saw you posted a new video. What a great day. Love these videos, I wish I could do things like this. Mushlove :)
@@DoubleADay she must have been in the cinnamon phase? Everyone thought she was a grizzly but she was pretty small. The four at the lake on our big hike we're definitely grizzlies.
I have a chocolate colored rug from a sow from 2011. We was seeing chanterelles everywhere that day. 3 days later and you couldn't hardly find any. I think she was queen of the woods
What a great video! You saw a lot of grizzlies! The babies are always adorable! I loved the ones playing in the water. They were living their best life! 😊
You should be singing "the bear went over the mountain/the bear went over the mountain/ the bear went over the mountain/and what do you think he saw?"....
Great video adventure, traveled the same route a few years ago on our way to the Stampede in July. Cubs and Momma... most people never see a bear, let alone a Grizzly. You'd be surprised how well a bear can hear and smell you... way before you even know he's there.
Better to have a surplus of berries for the bears to eat than to have a shortage of them; a hangry bear is a dangerous bear. I lived in Calgary in 1992 and they had an unusually dry summer and fall in Alberta province; the berry crops failed and the hungry bears were really grumpy. There were several maulings around Banff and Jasper/Lake Louise.
Aaron! You should invest in a “life straw” I keep one in my pack every time I go out hiking/foraging/fishing. It is a great backup for if you run out/low on water. It’s not a large item, and it allows you to trunk safely from any body of water, or running creek! Some of the most cool and refreshing sips I’ve had have been from drinking snowmelt runoff though a life straw.
Found a bunch of big old porcinni labor day weekend but no buttons. Everything was old. Another couple weeks I'll go check it out again. Also found hedgehogs starting to pop up
When you see "Baby Grizzlies" go the other way. Mamas are unpredictable. Just a lone Grizzly grazing, eating probably safe to watch at a distance. They are usually preoccupied with storing fat for their Winter torpor.
Went to woods this morning. It's been a while. I was looking for four things. I ended up with the best. Chicken of the woods. Came across a Buck. Surprised the both of us. In the city.
Fall has definitely come early! I've been finding TONS of mushrooms between 2-4k feet elevation. Huge boletus edulus, deer mushrooms and shrimp russula as far as the eye can see. It's pretty fun out there.
I just have to give you props Aaron , you're in my neck of the woods now and one thing I would Never do.....is sleep in a tent ! We want to keep you around ya know so be careful out there ! 🥴
Bro just steps right in the middle of a fairy ring like there’s no chance of finding himself in the fae realm. 😮

The salmon berries you were picking at the end were actually thimbleberry! We have lots of them in Washington too.

They were actually black bears at the start there
They are brown sometimes too, called a cinnamon black bear

Looked like a cinnamon black bear?
Yeah it wasn’t a Grizzly!

At 18:51 , proof that a bear does indeed do its business in the woods! 😉
Lol...now that's grizzlies ! Lol

Greetings from Redondo Beach 🇺🇸🇺🇸How do you know if mushrooms are poisonous? Wonderful video👍🏽👍🏽
You have to find the identity of each mushroom, no way to tell by looking.
Definitely a black bear .....so you still haven't seen a grizzly ( count yourself lucky) 👍😊
The king believes are Already wormed out at five thousand five hundred feet As of this last weekend
None mushroom meal. When I camp. Mushrooms in every meal. Come on!
Look like some fishy spots too!!! Do you fish?
Yes I do! But I didn't on this trip.
23:07 perfection
Spambots galore this morning
Report them! I do.
I think yt is infested with them and just allows it for the appearance of increased interaction. Any political video is 10x worse.
i cant find any mushrooms 😢
i think people just scoff at grocery store mushrooms because you're buying them from big corporations instead of finding them yourself
Ya need a 454 casul…
Not even afraid with the 357 ruger
Any of my mushroom wonderland friends can tell me abt the muscarine ?
Sorry that was a black bear
Fairy rings huh? Idk man. I'm calling the authorities to turn you in. Cancelled! It's over..
Why is the FBI following you?
A crap-ton of annoying pop-up ads on this video.
