You absolutely nailed the storytelling here, what a way to present a problem, bring third party opinion, and showcase a potential solution! Outstanding editing and videography, you definitely deserve more subscribers!

Great video. It’s so true that cars keep getting more and more high tech, but also pretty confusing to navigate that tech.

They do! They should be getting more simple, not more complicated

This is so beautiful. Voltage is going to be acquired by Vox Media some day. Mark my words.

I love Canoo (and the Pao)...and I'm also driving a 30 year old 1991 saab - simple as hell, everything you want, no bs you don't need- but as for RPMS in an old shiftable gas car...(some older automatics like my car work much better if you shift to keep the car in the right gear/ rpm range...because Torque and horsepower is a thing that Matters a lot in older gas cars when climbing hills with turns and stuff...but it will NOT be an issue at all in a modern EV.....but in an old saab, if you don't watch your RPMS and drive around hilly curvy roads with the right torque and engine braking (fully dependent on rpms in gas burning vehicles)... what can I say...you're not a serious driver and you probably have never routinely driven on a rural road and pretended to be a race car driver - which is the point of driving - just look at car commercials if there's any doubt about that... but you could also determine rpm accurately by sound if you routinely drove the car and didn't have a gauge. Funny enough - I have a working RPM gauge and a dead speedometer on an older car....I mean for understanding the driving experience and torque and how to drive the car on what road and condition ...in a manual or shifting automatic transmission by hand... RPMs are massively more informative than speed...speed is just how fast you're going. BUT DUDE - we're the same..we love the superiority of our simple old cars that money can't buy today...and we're going to transition from them straight to Canoos and skip the 30 years of terrible breaking screens and distracting off gassing plastic crap designs!

Excellent work with this video! The storytelling was spot on, and the quality was superb. I truly admire the direction that Canoo is taking with their interior dashboard design. Once again, excellent job portraying your point of view, man!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Great video, you have a new subscriber. I'm already invested in Canoo and a lot of my thinking was relating to their great consumer experience. Sure the tech is great but growth in this case will definitely be achieved though word of mouth. The difference between Canoo is other manufacturers like Tesla is that the subscription model will allow people to try it for a couple of months without commitment so the user experience is key to retaining customers. Most people aren't tech nerds, which is why Tesla sales were slow to grow despite the cars being great (upfront cost of buying slowed sales) but Canoo should be able to get more people to try their vehicles quicker.

      Thanks for coming by!
I think you’ve got a lot of good points. I’m really interested to see how the subscription model is received, I think more car makers will move to something like this in coming years. Volvo and Mercedes are both starting to offer similar subscriptions.

I think you need to do an updated video.. it looks like the latest renderings are now showing a screen on the Canoo (the left side of the steering wheel). Did they pivot from what they had decided on earlier? They probably realized they can't do it without CarPlay

In the opposite, oversimplification of the dashboard is starting to look like a bad future for EVs. It's absurdly stupid that dials and buttons are fading away for regularly used functions like audio controls, HVAC, and other essential system functions. Pulling the driver's attention to a screen to stare at it instead of them knowing the position of key dashboard functions by memory is going to be disastrous if self-driving isn't fully developed beforehand. How are we going to have issues with people being distracted with phones while driving and then move into casually relying on an integrated screen to do everything?

7:14 I hear ya but the complete lack of any screens or anything is probably not the way to go. Speed/Gas/AC some basic things are still useful!
