    Where people cycle a lot
As mentioned, cycling is the most common in the Netherlands. This is related to the fact that the Netherlands is flat. Cycling on terrain with few hills is easier. The fact that we are frugal by nature probably also plays a role. After all, cycling costs nothing, except for the purchase of a bicycle of course. You don't have to feed a bicycle, like a horse or donkey pulling your cart. Below are the top 10 countries where cycling occurs most, followed by the percentage of the population that cycles:
    1. Netherlands; 99.1%
    2. Denmark; 80.1%
    3. Germany: 75.8%
    4. Sweden; 63.7%
    5. Norway; 60.7%
    6. Finland; 60.4%
    7. Japan; 56.9%
    8. Switzerland; 48.8%
    9. Belgium; 48%
    10. China; 37.2%

Plus, using your bike is safer than using public transport: those " new germans " don't chase you just to stab you or to beat you up. No begging, stealing or harassing possible when you ride your bike.
