We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.
@@rohanmohanty3872 Shoot I'm not sure how to repair it after that because it's not waterproof. You may have the manufacturer warranty available but I think that's it unfortunately.
Love the headset, but you must have some great luck with them. I've bought 2 and they both died just outside of the warranty. Hard to justify spending the money when it just craps out after a while
Only issue I have with it is the rubber/silicone tip, falling off from time to time, very easy to lose. Compare to the Plantronics models which has a tight fit, the Jabra ones are loose..
That's a good point and thanks for bringing it up because I did notice that recently with pulling it out of my jeans. The ear tip falls off from time to time.
Hi, thanks for the great review. I bought 1 too recently. Just curious, Do U always max out the volume when using? (Cos I do & I’m not sure if it’s my issue). Also, is it shock proof?
Hmm, I usually am at about 50%-60% with this headset at any given time. That's interesting. Shock proof? If I understand correctly, it doesn't pick up those spikes in loud volume easily.
I need a Bluetooth for mainly phone calls, is this prevent background noise while talking in traffic or in bus ? So that receiver hear my voice clearly ?
Especially with the microphone test I did I really think they’ll do just fine in that environment. I was in a really loud coffee shop when I did the test.
I went through like 10 of BT2045 in the last decade and was super happy. When they weren't available anymore i got a Talk15 and that one is a total piece of garbage. No range, no volume, and i kept pressing the button accidentally. I'm almost relieved i lost it (again). Judging by this review i'll be giving Jabra another go though.
Hello Adam. I like your honest review of the Jabra Talk 45. Have you seen the Comply TrueGrip Pro Foam ear tips? I have been using Jabra earpiece that's about 8 or 9 years old. I grown to hate using it. The over the ear black plastic clip sometimes comes disconnected from the earpiece. I've actually had the earpiece fall out of my ear with the clip twice and never noticed it was gone. I can't use an earpiece without a clip. I recently discovered memory foam ear tips. Similar to what you'd put in your ear to block out loud noises. (ear plugs). What is your opinion of pairing the Jabra Talk 45 with Comply TrueGrip Memory foam ear tips? Thanks. Vancouver, Canada
I've been a long time Plantronics user, specifically the 5200 series. The microphone on the Plantronics model is great in wind scenarios, but in a quiet room (home office), other people can actually hear me filing on my finger nails and asking me what the heck that noise is 😞. I need a headset mic that doesn't allow these type sounds since I'm on several conference calls daily. Any suggestions please???
Hi.. have you tried Talk 25? I really like the design of 45 more but the presence of Vol button in 25 is a big convenience & kind of unable to be ignored. Having tough time deciding between the two, and btw 25 is half the price of 45. Need your advice, Thanks
Great question, it's going to drastically reduce background noise better than the AirPods Pro and you're heard louder. The AirPods Pro are just best if you're in a quiet room and even then it makes your voice sound muffled. I did do a review of them so you can hear the mic test to compare. Here's the link and I've shared it starting with the mic test: ua-cam.com/video/deP57g9rtYc/v-deo.html
I would recommend actually getting a dedicated podcast microphone. No matter how good a headset is for call, they will always have a nasal sound like you're on a call no matter what. JLab has incredible microphones for $99.00 that are the same price as some of these headsets but WAY better in performance for a podcast. How will you be doing your podcast?
Do you work from home or in a busy office? This mono headset is my favorite for this style and price I ever used. Nothing competes with it. I don't like the earhook ones and usually others sound too artificial.
Does this jabra comes with a button in the middle, where you just press and answers the call or ends the call ? So you don’t have to answer on the phone ?
It's good for sure, but I wouldn't depend on it. It really depends on the setting you're in and what phone you have. What would you be using for, a podcast style or just leaving voicemails or something?
If there is any Voyager 3200 lovers out there, plz tell me what headset satisfied you after it.... i want the volume buttons it had, and a physical on off switch. And it felt really good in my ear, sometimes im looking for it while its sitting in my ear. Sadly, the batteries are crap after 5+ years of usage, i got like 5 of them. Plz give me suggestions. Its so sad that "Poly" discontinued them.
A serious issue is the rubber/silicone tip and ear holder, falling off frequently and not as on older models, very easy to lose. This headset is ergonomically a pure catastrophy , do not buy this headset !
Do I understand correctly that you can't adjust the volume on the headset itself? If so, how do you adjust it? Do you have to use the volume control on your phone?
@@medik-drkrsaravanantamil1737 It's good for at home for those in between calls and casual usage more than anything. For heavy professional calls in loud environments or to make the best impression, you're right. Boom microphone headsets are always the best.

Dang, sorry to hear about the bad experience. See, I wear glasses so that's why the Legend or newer models like it didn't work too well for me. Luckily, there's plenty of options of here. But the mic on the 5200 does perform better. It depends. The ear tip is a one sizes fit all style with the Talk 45. Thanks for the comment!

For me personally I don't like using those comply eartips because of earwax and overtime they build up too much earwax in my ears.
Great, it's really helpful video😊thank you so much!❤
What about windy walks and talks outside?
What do you think about using talk 45 for media playback (in addition to calls)
It’s very loud and crisp. I think it’s great for podcasts and audio books.
Hi, Jabra Talk 45 can be connected to several mobile phones at the one time ?
Only two at once but it remembers up to 8 connections if I remember.
Hi Adam , could you review the Talk 65 please
What would you recommend now if you were to buy a new one just for this use? Coffee shop calls, commute calls and maybe just listening to music..
Coffee shop calls for sure. Great question but for reliability sake, that'd be the one use that's best use with this.
