This cleared a lot of doubts especially when you linked different year's PYQs of similar types together. Earlier I was solving SSC CGL Qs of PnC using different formulas but upsc asks different types of PnC questions and I wasted so much time in those Qs which UPSC will never ask. Thanks for this wonderful session.

In the word LAYOUT, there are three vowels and three consonants. If we consider the three vowels as one letter, then we have four letters to arrange. These four letters can be arranged in 4! ways.
Now, the three vowels can be arranged among themselves in 3! ways.
Therefore, the total number of ways in which the letters of the word LAYOUT can be arranged such that all vowels come together is 4! * 3! = 4 * 3 * 2 * 1 * 3 * 2 * 1 = 144.
So the answer is 144

It is (1,4,1)....
By mistake, it was written wrong but explanation is right
