That's the way I tie it, too.
The last push through the loop is not necessary, adds to the bulk of the knot and I don’t like the tag end facing forward catching on weeds and debris in the water.

The Trilene has been proven by Berkeley in there testing facilities that whan used is about 95% of it's breaking strength thats good enough for the girls i go out with! but I would only use it up to about 30lb test, so that being said I've been using a regular ole clinch knot my whole life never had any issues with bass, trout or salmon!
Its really just a tucked blood knot that's been around since the start of angling.

The Double Loop Uni Knot (aka Fish N Fool Knot) is stronger
Improved clinch knot meets Trilene knot. IMO it's the two turns around the eye of the hook that really adds strength.
