I decided to make this video for you guys, because when I was a prospective student I would have KILLED for a tour video of the campus - so, I made you guys one!

This school is like a damn 5 star hotel. It's really expensive but the quality of the dorms and buildings are amazing so I can't complain

pepperdine was around before zoey101 this crazy generation its been around since like 1983 but they keep it up too look nice just recently been there and theyre making new parking parking was crazy whack going there!!! cars parked literally everywhere

Emily and Sarah Hi! I recently got admitted into class of 2023! The SAT scores for Pepperdine start at around 1200. I would recommend trying to achieve at least a 1250, in order to be considered for the generous scholarships that Pepperdine has to offer. Moreover, I would recommend maintaining a high GPA at your high school and taking up extracurricular activities. For example, I have found online a volunteering program for orphan children. I applied online, got accepted and signed a contract for a year. These things are greatly appreciated, as they show you are an active citizen in the community. Moreover, I would recommend getting AP or IB classes, since they prove that you are capable of handling college-like coursework.

Just wondering whether or not she ended up getting accepted? I applied for fall as well, and could not be accepted for the fall, but I was accepted for the Spring Semester. I was really surprised about it since my stats were NO WHERE near anyone else who applied there(mine were lower)... I applied just for the fun of it since I loved it as a kid, not thinking I had a chance...
Kerry I get the impression that having connections earns you a huge advantage in acceptance and possibly scholarships. Do you know if that's true? The tuition is extremely high so this is a long shot, but I really really want to go to Pepperdine.
I would assume having connections would give you a LARGE advantage, but I would not know. My father never went to college, and my mother dropped out of community college after 2 years, so I did not have any... Which still confuses me on how I got in. I would absolutely love to be able to attend there, but the tuition is just insane to me, and I only got $6k per year... which is a tenth of the annual tuition. Also I live in NJ, so it is on the complete opposite side of the country. I received a postcard in the mail recently where they actually quoted part of one of my essays I had to send them, and they said that was specifically why I got in... which I am not sure if they just picked a random sentence out of everyone's essays and sent them, or if it was actually what was the turning point in my admission. I'd say as far as advice for you, just make sure your essays are all well put together. That is such a huge part of the application.
Kerry.....the cost to attend that school is just astronomical! $72,000 per year!! Unless you're basically getting a full ride, I don't know HOW the average Joe (or Jill LOL) could afford to attend. Unreal. I get the impression that this is a pretty SMALL school in terms of the # of students enrolled??? If those are the mailboxes for EVERYONE attending, that's not very many at all!
The tuition is absolutely ridiculous... I understand it is a gorgeous campus and right on the beach, but come on! I thought Syracuse University was way too expensive, and it is $10,000 cheaper! Maybe if you were going into Law where you have less of a chance being in debt till you are 50 years old, then yeah. But no one I know is able to afford that kind of tuition. And yes it is fairly small. Only around 8,000 students are enrolled there, and they only accepted around 890 students out of the nearly 13,000 applications.

Estreya annually, but I think I was looking under undergraduate and not for international students. I didn't look if they have out of state fees either for non Cali residents. But I literally just googled "Pepperdine tuition 2016" and it brought me to their tuition and financial aid page. 😊
If I'm not mistaken, private university fees apply to all students whether you are international, out of state, or in state, whereas public university fees differ.

How much does religion affect student life/ academic life?
I had no idea what she was talking about when she was trying to explain the layout of the the dorms and then I thought of zoeys dorm and it made perfect sense lol
Man this college looks amazing. It has over 30 buildings, libraries, cafeterias, their own CVS, late night stores, a chapel, ocean view, palm trees, enormous gym, it has everything. Tuition is so expensive, almost 70k a year. This college is my dream college but unfortunately I live in Eastern Europe where colleges are one building, no libraries, none od those fancy stuff, everything is old and broken. The college I'm applying for this fall looks ratchet comparing to this one. It looks like a cheap building that nobody wants to live in, has a shitty elevator with no movement sensor, it's so tiny and just, ugh, no. But Europe is the most broke part of the world so our tuition/scholarship costs 1,000$ for regular studies. Master studies are 1,500$. Still pretty cheap comparing to Malibu universities. Nonetheless I'm so jealous, this is beautiful 😫
I'm sorry but where in Europe do you live? I would not generalise European colleges/universities in that way. Many German universities for instance are actually quite nice, very affordable and very intent on providing good education. Just look at Heidelberg. Heidelberg costs around 150 Euro per semester and provides first class education. I believe it's more expensive for international students outside of the EU (around 1,500 Euro I think?) but it's still affordable in comparison to other countries. Maybe consider studying in Germany, I'd really recommend places like Heidelberg, Tübingen and Göttingen. I'm going to the latter myself and I'll change to Heidelberg after my basic studies

There is no way that I would ever go to another state for college, but this is SO beautiful!!! Exactly like your description says, a video tour of the campus/dorms would be great. It can be so hard to get to them. A video like this is one of the best ideas I have ever seen! Keep up the great work with all of your videos!

I'm an international exchange student, I got into Pepperdine & USC to do one year exchange, which one is better?
Both are great schools, totally different! One is big and one is small, one is on the beach the other is in the city. Its up to personal preference

About to finish my graduate education from Pepperdine University, but I actually attended one of the satellite campuses, so I never even stepped foot on the main Malibu campus. Watching this video brought me joy but at the same time I got jealous of the great view and access to resources you all have 😭

Pepperdine was definitely a university that I considered going to! It's gorgeous
I like how enthusiastic you are, I can tell you really love the campus and your school in general. Personally I'm not impressed with the look of the campus. When I say that I'm not talking scenery, I'm talking architecture and interior design. The campus is beautiful from a landscape perspective, but for as much money as it costs to go there, I was expecting more in terms of the look of the buildings and the inside. It looks pretty busted to me. I've seen better at less expensive schools. I was expecting luxury I guess for the area and how expensive it is to attend. Just my thoughts.

@Alix Volski It is pretty much the same as being on campus. You pay the same for tuition and room/board/food. Only additonal costs are flights and extra things you choose to do.

marsel mirzazadah i read online somewhere it was filmed during summer months so it wouldn’t disrupt students, and they were only allowed to film from 10am-10pm.
The whole time I was like "OMG that's from Zoey 101! Oh and look at that!" Kind of internally bragging to myself about how much I knew about this campus. None the less I loved this video!! ❤️❤️❤️

Pepperdine isn't a UC, it is a private college located in Malibu, CA. Just so you aren't confused!
