Boooooy your Venn diagram is b e a Utiful and I appreciate your use of it. I subscribed just for that and your self depricating comment about it. You go boy.
Thank you for this video and giving us some more insight into these classes, I myself needed some myself. I am fully aware of what this all meant for me but I did learn a thing or two thanks again! For myself I am going towards medic but I may either combine either one of two, being brawler or ranger haven't decided yet.
Personally I found the most success using either tank and medic, for more damage output and taking more damage without dying with still being agile, brawler and medic for being very agile and having quicker damage output and having pretty good damage resistance with great healing and perks and lastly, tank and brawler which is very good for both one hand and two hand weapons and having great resistance and agility at the same time
While each class goes into the obvious, ranger for ranges, tank for two handed, brawler for one handed, the medic is more or less the "jack of all trades" class. It's good as a general class for people who don't want to go into any particular class while having various other bonuses. I've seen several bonuses on medic gear and most of them are handy passives. Also parkour damage includes dropkicks which do way more damage than you think, especially to bosses. No really, you can take a solid 10%+ off a demolisher if you have a good medic set with a single dropkick.
How is healing done? Im usually in love with supporting and I was wondering if its just the same as in DL1 where I think you can medkit a teammate. Or is there also perks on weapons which heal surrounding players for a percentage of damage dealt? Please elaborate as much as you want, I would love to know everything :D
I personally like going for a mix between Brawler and Medic armour as I like dealing damage with one handed weapons but I also heavily use parkour combat like jumping high above enemies and dropping on top of them or just abusing the Drop kick like any sane person does, besides I think the armour matches fairly well stylistically
I notice that in the beginning of the game the class system doesn't really matter bc your gear is constantly getting upgrades, so for m3 this is more of a late/ mid game thing
Ive chosen the one handed weapon class for clothing. Its kinda disadvantageous to mix class clothing imo. The ranger class isn’t even worth it till halfway through the game lol
The gear transmog thing right? It’s obvious something going to be added like dying light one. It’s clear because they already have 2 in game right now, pre order bonus and the limited edition both have special outfits that layer over what ever gear you have.
And another thing no ones talking about, there’s a stat bar button that shows all your stat percentage at once it’s extremely helpful however not a single UA-cam has showed this bar yet, I honestly can’t believe no ones bushed that button yet. You’d think one UA-cam would realize it by now and show it off when explaining gear.
imma be that guy. tank armour can sometimes have stamina regen on it. Havent seen it on high level tank gear yet, but on mid level ive found it numerous times
Heya Kiwi! I was just wondering if there was an inventory cap on carryable gear(not weapons, just armour/outfits). Second, closely related question: Do we have a stash again where we can dump all the stuff we dont need right now? Great video again. So hyped for playing the game myself
By the way they did add the ability to change look of gear while maitaining gear stats, So you can change the look without having to remove armor stats you want to keep.

I’m multi classing to setup for playing close combat with knuckle dusters To compensate for my lack of range I’m going mostly into movement speed and general defensive buffs so I’ve done a lot with medic and tank, as most of my play-style is mixing up parkour attacks and movement abilities with heavy hits to finish opponents but I have also invested a bit into buffs that are shared by tank and brawler. The main reason I’m investing more into tank that brawler at this point is that the only piece of gear that is tailored towards knuckle dusters I have found was tank gear, but I do have a theory that knuckle duster damage and stat buffs may be shared by both brawler and tank equipment, but I haven’t confirmed it yet. Over all So far so good on the build tho I’m able to kill most anything fairly well already on the max difficulty and what I’m not able to kill just by dodging, grappling, parkour attacks, and heavy knuckle duster blows I’m able to out run or harass to death. One thing that is handy about the build is once you have a feeling for the dodging and movement you are a anti tank tank. Any large damage sponge enemies can be easily weaved around and widdled down So far the only thing that gets me any more are groups of volatiles. They essentially have the same build as me, but I can’t grapple or manipulate them in combat like they can me which puts me at a big advantage. And I can take a couple hits from one, but I’m still not tanking enough to get a beat down from multiple at the same time. I can outpace one or two in combat, but three or more and I need something to cheese my way out or someone to back me up at least on max difficulty
I love dead island and have been playing it and riptide for years and recently though I do wish they had the option to respec skill points like with borderlands have limited skill points but the option to change builds
I would recommend medic for parkour damage and survivability Or ranger because it's damage actually matters unlike the tank and brawler set I've done some testing and New game Plus against high level enemies and wearing full brawler or full tank gear made a difference of one hit when using the corresponding weapon However with a full ranger set I could still one shot some enemies with headshots allowing me to stay stealthy or kill enemies before they reach me ruining my ranged advantage Once you beat the game melee combat becomes a slog so I recommend getting good at ranged combat and parkour combat in advance
It's just semantics, but I feel like they should swap the tank and brawler names. To me, tank is all about armor in defense and would use a one-handed weapon and rely on being a damaged sponge. Brawler is all offense and would probably use two handed to deal damage
The fear doesn't add anything to replayabitity..... all it does is have me carry around 2 full sets of gear: 1 set for when I'm running across rooftops and the other for when I enter into a building or a fight against more than 2 enemies. Pause, switch gear, un pause, play. If they were intuitive at all as game designers I could have multiple sets locked into a great slot, so I could change faster. That is it
