I knew a guy like this when I was in high school. I was a freshman and he was a senior, one of the best guys I’ve ever met, always stuck up for me and was just so effortlessly cool.
One of my favorite opening scenes of all time. The song always gets me pumped and excited for the movie, and seeing Marty skateboarding, hitching a ride on the back of the vehicles and waving at the people in town is still so cool after all this time. I really wish I was able to go to school in style through a nice little small town like that! Also, i love seeing that vintage Burger King next to Doc's place, and I wish Burger King restaurants still looked like that. Man, the 80s seemed like such a cool time!
The way Marty was looking at Jennifer when she was writing the number and the way Jennifer was smiling when Marty was auditioning is the most natural physical expression in Cinematic history
The famous scenes are always interesting no matter how many times I watch them, and I can't believe it was nearly 40 years ago, so I want to go back to those days!
UA-cam is the closest thing we'll ever get to a time machine. So grateful to have gotten to experience the 80's and 90's in America. That was possibly the pinnacle of mankind and experiencing it in the greatest country to ever exist, was nothing shy of extraordinary.
2:54 Paul Hanson and Michael J. Fox playing the metal version of The Power of Love! Huey Lewis (as the judge): I'm afraid, it's too loud! Marty (as he left out him guitar): *Bullshit, it's your song, Huey!*
I never get tired of this film..I saw it almost 39 years ago as an 11 year old in theaters, that awesome summer of '85!...Its my all time favorite movie! And that history is never gone change!
3:07 interesting bit of trivia for everyone is that the “you’re just too darn loud” guy is actually Huey Lewis of Huey Lewis and the News, who were not only a huge band in the 80’s, but also created the songs “Power of Love” and “Back in Time” for this film. So Marty and his band literally start playing his song for the audition before being told they’re too loud 😂

I heard that Huey Lewis worried that this song might not fit the movie because the movie was not billed as a love story. I say the song fits perfectly and the movie is a total love story❤❤❤
I love all BTTF films and part one is the best. It is actually about two love stories, George and Lorraine falling in love and Marty wanting to get back to his love Jennifer, for MJF in that look to Jennifer sums up the emotion of Love in one second (especially for teenage boys,I was one of these a few years after this came out)You can’t explain it, you just feel it.
This series could never be rebooted . It’s just perfect the way it is. It’s literally impossible to make better . The thing about great movies is that I’ve literally seen these movies thousands of times. I can recite every line, and still notice something new every time I watch. For example, I may be really slow, but I’ve just r Pieces together for the first time that Huey Lewis turns Marty down to perform at his dance, but Marty goes back in time, performs at his parents dance and subsequently creates rock and roll for Huey Lewis to eventually become a part of lol. Just amazing movies and always will be.
This is my absolute most favorite scene of this movie still to this day. From the time Marty is riding his skate board to school, running into his girl, the conversation they have, the kiss and finally the ride on his skate board making that turn heading home with "Power of Love" playing in the background...Man! Does it for me every time. Thanks for this post ‼️👍🏾

I was negative 12 years old when this movie came out, and it is my favorite movie of all time
Loved this movie and the music!
At 1:24 in the lower right corner, you can see the grafitti saying ”Lorraine Loves Calvin”. Really cool easter egg, just noticed it as I rewatched the movie for the hundreth time yesterday.
@Per Abenius there are so many Easter Eggs in the 3 films it’s become a whole cottage industry finding them
The 80s will always be the best
Still my favorite movie to this day
