bro this shit was brilliant. i just got a job at a web-hosting company i need to brush up on my linux and and web server skills. Thank You fam!! Subscribed.
Just heard of ClickMinded from Brennan Dunn, and reading him regularly and trusting his judgment went and googled. So here I am in aw and gratitude - watching. Thanks, Tommy, you've shortened my research and helped me understand stuff that where ?*!*? confusing to me before! Total amateur here but wanting to know and understand the behind the scenes. Thank you for the work! Cheers!
Tommy, how do I know if my Wordpress website is returning any of mentioned errors? Should one use some tool regularly to keep track of errors or is there a protocol (no pun intended;) that alarms the website owner that the errors are going on? Thanks a bunch!!! If there are some general resources about this topic (for amateur Wordpress website owners who are DIY kind of peeps) you could point me towards instead of me taking up your time, please do :)
Google Search Console is the fastest and free way to find any serious errors, you can see it there on the left-hand sidebar. If you want to go deeper, downloading Screaming Frog to find even more problems - good luck!
It depends. Redirecting users from a page that used to exist, and is currently a 404, to a more relevant page, is the way to go. But it is totally fine to have 404s on a site in general. You wouldn't want website.com/abcde1, website.com/abcde2, website.com/abcde3 to all be redirecting somewhere - these are totally fine situations where it's okay to have a 404
Let us know what you think!
I watched a lot of videos on this and this was by far the concise and perfect one. Good job bro

Is 301 Redirecting 404 Error is a good approach or we delete 404 Errors?
