Two videos in less than a month? Unbelievable.
Here's a cover of the Sylvalum theme from Xenoblade X, a.k.a. Shiro no Tairiku a.k.a. 46-:ri9 a.k.a. 白の大陸, by Hiroyuki Sawano.
A lot of back and forth went on while mixing this, especially regarding the bass: is there too much? Too little? As a last minute check, I tried comparing the track to a reference one which I like: this resulted in some extreme mastering moves (a couple +4 dB bells on both lows and mid-highs), so, if this sounds bad... blame Demetori LMFAO. Again, any feedback in this regard is appreciated.
This track should be part of a small (4 tracks, most likely) Xenoblade X EP I'm planning to release on streaming platforms and whatnot later this year.
Easily one of the best songs in the game, awesome cover!!
Thank you! Yes, the OG track is unbelievable, I'd even say it's one of the best among the whole series!
What a frikkin great cover! Xenoblade X had a simply legendary soundtrack, I love it with all my heart!
Thanks! Yeah, I love it too, it's a shame it gets so little recognition, even within the Xeno community
Dude, can Monolith just hire you for a Xenoblade Warriors game already? Taking songs and changing them to have an entirely different feel is one of the best things an artist can do, and these upbeat covers of relaxing songs are amazing! Keep up the good work on everything you make!
Thanks! I stand firmly against the idea of a Xenoblade Warriors game, but I'll take the compliment LMAO
Yooo, this is really good, great arrangement!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Is there anything you think sticks out in a bad way, mix-wise? I've kinda overhauled my usual template and I'd really appreciate some feedback lmao
@@ZoharEmulator It sounded great tbh! Might give it a listen on my other headphones to double check tho.
@@KadeKalka Great, thank you!!
Absolutely awesome!!!
@@MelodiCat753 Thanks for checking it out!
HOLY SHIT
May I assume you liked it? :)
@@ZoharEmulator Sylvalum is like my favorite piece of VGM so yes I'm stoked that you covered this.
