- To celebrate the beginning of another busy summer of GAA action , I have put together this Video which has the masterful accordion playing of Liam O'Connor who originally produced this piece of music back in 2006 and named it the ''Morning Dew''. Also featuring on the video clip is the famous voice of the RTE1 radio commentator Michael O'Muircheartaigh which I think adds an extra buzz into listening to this particular piece of music.
I have put together also a collection of photos aswell including the county crest for each everyone of our 32 Counties !! Hope you enjoy the clip. Thanks for listening !
A great tune played by the magical Liam O Connor who himself played and won a Co Senior Football medal with Duhallow.
Yep there is no doubt that Michael O Muircheartaigh is the greatest GAA commentator along with Michael O'Hehir to ever be heard on the RTÉ radio !
Many thanks for the positive comments my friends. I must say Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh makes a great contribution in the music clip which gives it that extra buzz !
Thanks for the comment Castlefinn. It is a mighty tune I must say and the voice of Micheál O Muircheartaigh gives that extra buzz about it !!
Your too right there Bohereen and although My beloved County Limerick are still in turmoil over the management set up and our expectations are not high for this years Championships , Im still very much looking forward to whole thing !!
Should be played at every Major GAA Game!!!
Absolutely Fantastic. I've been looking for it for ages. I was in Croke Park the day it was first played!!
best tune ever!!!!!
Well Shane although I wont dis believe you the original CD recording I have of this states otherwise and was produced by Liam O'Connor & Dave Pennefather.
Liam O'Connor neither produced that tune nor called it "Morning Dew"... That tune has been around for a lot longer than him.. My father plays that tune, as did his father before him and his father before that...
I might be a rarity here’ but I don’t think it worked. They are both’ from totally different backgrounds. What does a traditional Irish reel’ have to do with sports commentary.? I can’t see the connection.
FAVOURITED!!!!
What a fantastic song that promotes a fantatsic sport commentated by a great man, Michael o Muircheartaigh
fantastic!!
That's very good
not long to go now...
what is the name of the tune being played
Cmon the Bannermen...
What is it that Micheál yells at the end in Irish?
