I always used to relate to Lisa in the early seasons, if not the latter ones. She, Matilda Wormwood and Luna Lovegood were my icons.
That's absurd, Lisa has always been a woke Liberal and it's only gotten worse over the years. If you're a woke liberal or just a liberal in general then you're a lost cause. If you relate to her for other reasons besides her stupid opinions then that's ok.

I don’t think it’s up to anybody else to tell Indian people what is offensive or not about the stereotypes they have to deal with.
Most Indians I know, love Apu and miss him. Another case of another race being offended on the behalf of another
Unfortunately I have to agree with you, when I'm absolutely positive we would never agree on anything else. It's only not okay to make jokes about specific groups at specific times. It's fine to mock an Irishmen or Italian on the Simpsons, but if you are Asian, South Asian, or certain other groups it's a no go. The double standard absolutely sucks.
The writers of "The Simpsons" are pure genius !! This is why I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show. The jokes are so spot on.
The first 10 seasons of the Simpsons is probably one of the best comedy sitcoms of all time.

There’s a two to three story pile of tires in Portland that keeps catching fire. The Simpson’s showed a huge pile of tires on fire that said “Now smelled in 39 states.”

McFarland wasn't upset with the Simpsons. He was mad at the Fox executives who wouldn't let him have the joke. I know people who have worked on both shows in a very background capacity, and absolutely no one has ever said they hold any kind of ill will for either side.

There seems to be a trend online of people totally misunderstanding Homer’s Enemy. Grimes is obviously written to be uptight and annoying, basically the bad guy. We’re not supposed to take his side, or feel bad for him - he gets what’s coming for being a prig.

"Bart to the Future" first aired in March of 2000. This was over a decade and a half before Trump even announced his intentions run for president.

The Simpsons is indeed quite amazing and different but it is going on a bit too long so it does need end soon before it goes to far
