One trick I learned, from the Chalk It Up Fancy girls, with rub on transfers, is to use some sort of barrier, such as mod podge or varnish, on your painted surfaces before adding your transfers. It helps so much! I’ve not had any issues since I’ve started doing that! ❤️
Also, I recently donated a ton of my craft supplies to a yard sale - they were a huge draw & I made a few bucks! BUT, since cleaning out all that “extra” I’m finding so many things I bought to craft with but lost, and have been crafting everyday using only the stuff left over in my stash!! It’s so nice to walk into my craft room and be able to grab all the things I need and create whenever an idea sparks!! 😂❤

Yes I do know this but I absolutely hate this step and take my chances 😂 I’m awful at times
I tried that trick on wooden stool I painted with chalk paint then put mod podge then painted ( using proper technique) in stencil n lifted it up had bleeds and in places lifted part of the paint I had on stool. Dont know what happened
@@michellesuniqueboutique3405 when I get too aggressive and press too hard with the transfers, I get bleeding too. I’m not at all saying that’s what happened in your case. Seems there is definitely a bit of a learning curve to these transfers. 🤔🥰

I always enjoy these videos with your rub-on transfer ideas. Rub- on transfers are an easy, convenient way to add a personal touch for those of us who have absolutely no artistic skills whatsoever.
They’re really fun to use too but bring a great transformation to pieces without spending a ton of money
All cute ideas using the cutting boards. The IOD sisters say to always seal your project before applying transfers and that should cut down on any problems.

Seal with mod Podge, varnish, wax, etc. some paints, like Dixie belle, I believe , have sealer built in them

I have so much stuff in boxes for crafts that I don’t even know what I have, I buy the same stuff over and over because of it. I need to have a craft party to use it up. I have planned a girls night to eat and craft. I love the pumpkin, I watch you tube all night and order things from Amazon.🤣

Hi cutie Kristin. I always have trouble with paint on this paddle boards but I lov them too. Tfs some great ideas. I love the oink piggy and cow on the tool box flower box. ADD a pc of foam board under the bottom and it will be sturdy. I used a plunger stick as the handle on mine Che it’s sturdy but not as cute as yours. Xoxo.

When using transfers you have to put down a layer of Modpodge or an poly acrylic clear spray over the top then your transfers will stick.
Yes you absolutely do. I just dislike mod podge and test it out. Most of the time it works without it

O- m- gosh the little tool box is adorable. I didnt think about using the rope instead of a dowl . I ruined a good transfer after painting on a pizza pan from d.t. now i put mod podge on after i paint let it dry then put the transfer on that seem to help a lot . Just a suggestion . Everything is so cute !

Oh I loved these never seen there in my DT before!! I had bought tons of fall stuff from DT last year and then got sick and couldn’t use most of them so yeah I’m planning to use mainly those.
Truth: My craft room looks like a DT took over and it used to be for mainly scrapbooking!!
