I have a Fujimi Monkey Bike that's similar in construction to the CB1300, also their Honda cub is the same. Only the racing bikes seem to be Tamiya/Hasegawa like. A note on blued exhausts if you're a perfectionist, the exhausts on the Japanese bikes I had were generally double skinned to avoid blueing, saves a bit of unnecessary detailing.
Currently i just start nightshift work, its 6pm, wont be finished will 3am. These type of videos are thoroughly entertaining and relaxing why i watch my machine chomping away at steel metal. I dont watch the video, i just watch it. Your voice and the way you speak is soothing and relaxing. Idk if others think this but yea. Love the channel!!
I am a race car and race bike builder so can only comment on that genre, but from my experience of Fujimi they are very varied in quality. the Pepsi Suzuki bike I built last year, it's very detailed, maybe too much, as it quickly gets fiddly I found, read the instructions as I noticed some parts weren't clear in their placement, will be interested in hearing your comments when you build it. I have the latest model by Beemax of their first bike model, I'm looking forward as to see how that builds up, I don't do social media stuff so can't send a pic or anything.
Hello Deon, First for something different - I think I discovered Wheelie Yellow's brother - they seem to have the same interest in extreme speed, Hope this link works: ua-cam.com/users/shortscvYdTyPvdig?si=I7TX72rs3agjClyT Apologies for a late response. It seems I have encountered an unexpected "modeling injury". We always have some kind of pollen in the air year round. . A week ago my left eye was very irritated - like flying in your Harvard with flying goggles with one lens. I waited four days before going to the eye doctor. It was not pollen related but several scratches on my cornea. They are treating it for a week with special eye drops and I will go back at the end of this week for a progress report. So I haven't watched a lot of videos and can't build models because of the blurry vision from the drops. However, I really enjoyed this "chat" It reminded me I need to add a Canberra to my collection. It was a very effective medium bomber for the US in Vietnam, the primary caveat at that time was the "shotgun shell" starting technique. It created a lot of black smoke and the airfields were always being observed. I'll be following your figure painting progress as I have some 1/16 scale and a bust of Churchill in my stash. The bust you have looks familiar, before my eye I was investigating some kit possibilities. It could be an Australian team member that worked jointly with American LRRP units, , I thought maybe SAS but they don't use backpacks. I had even thought of the French Foreign Legion. Hopefully I will be healed and can restart my research. I looked at a model figure kit maker called Mitches Military Models in the UK - they have a few close to your bust. I am also getting more interested in your bike models especially those you shared in this video and the way you paint them. So a combination of cold rainy weather, a chaotic political transition period until Jan 20, my check engine light in my van came on and my eye - Modeling has been difficult to work in. It has let me think about a better build cycle and organize my stash priorities. I do hope all is better in your hemisphere. Happy Modelling and Cheers, Bob
Hi Bob. Hope your eye heals fast, just build a model anyway - no paint, and call it your blur build. Oh i seem to have resolved my ant problem, the antsand worked but i had to get it right close to the nest in the ceiling which wasnt easy but a stroke of luck - when i was brooming away cobwebs through the hatch, and putting half my body through, i managed to see the line of ants and layed a good bit of the sand. It looks like that did the trick. Weather is getting very hot here now. 30 degrees C. The motorbikes are quite a lot of work - more than most builds.
Omg I remember building that in the 70s nice kit

Could the bust be Jack Churchill of the Seaforth Highlanders? He was in other units as well but I thought I saw a stags head on the cap badge.
