Freeze Man Weakness : Junk Shield (Not only can hard garbage not be frozen, but the ice is crushed on the contrary.) Junk Man Weakness : Thunder Bolt (Garbage made of iron will break if struck by lightning, and apart from that, iron conducts electricity.) Burst Man Weakness : Frezze Cracker (I don't know if soap bubbles can be frozen, but they are weak against freezing, probably because they are liquids for this chemical. If it's a boss rush, the Scorch Wheel can also be a Weakness action, but it's too hot because it contains explosives.) Cloud Man Weakbess : Danger Wrap (Clouds are actually water, so if you trap them in bubbles, the clouds will disappear at the same time as the bubbles, so if the clouds disappear, Cloudman will fall.) Slash Man Weakness : Freeze Cracker / Scorch Wheel (As a Weakness weapon, it can be said to be the same as Burst Man, but in the case of Slash Man, perhaps because it is a motif of a fierce beast, it is vulnerable to temperature changes and hibernates when it gets cold, and causes dehydration when it gets hot.) Shade Man Weakness : Wild Coil (Since it's something that flies, it's an advantage if it's a jumping attack.) Spring Man Weakness : Slash Claw (Because even the torso is made of springs, it's a ripping attack.) Turbo Man Weakness : Noise Crush (If you get hit by a noisy ultrasonic wave, it will slow down, and even though it's just a car, it also uses flame-attribute moves, so the car contains gasoline, so if it gets hot, it will ignite, and if you do that, it will self-destruct.)

Those graphics could probably be replicated on a sega master system. Maybe you could add this version of the soundtrack to Rockman 7 FC but i think the recorded music is on a not so common file format.
shade mans stage and music was my favorite along with the ghost and goblin easter egg when i played this game years ago. this entire 8 bit de made is really well done! congrats! now all we need is a mm7 mmc3 with vrc6 rom hack
In the description you mention people can use this in their own work, but I just thought I'd double check with you. I'm making a platformer game and was wondering if I could use a few of these tracks for it? Credit will be given of course. Amazing video btw, loved the visuals and the music is awesome!
I think this is great work, and to listen to five years of work in about half an hour almost feels wrong! My favorite aspect of this soundtrack cover is that you utilized the full breadth of the VRC6 instrumentation, while also not getting overly fancy with the sound design which would make it sound too pretentious. These are faithful, yet super well arranged covers. Great work, again! By the way, I saw the comment thread about Mega Man 8. I know it's unlikely you'll do a similar cover of that soundtrack, but just in case you ever did want to take a look at the sequences for those tracks, you can do this easily with the program VGMTrans and a collection of the .psf sound files from Mega Man 8.
Thank you for the kind words. I wasn’t aware that you could do that at all with the MM8 soundtrack, so I might look into that program. I appreciate you letting me know.
The only real problem here is how little you looped some of these, which is not really a problem at all! I just wish i could keep listening one song without it being gone too soon. Apart from that this is a masterpiece and a very well and sweet work, i admire your talent.
Huuuge kudos for doing justice to Wily Castle 1! My personal favorite Wily Castle theme and you just made it sound wonderful despite having less musical options than the SNES version. It's one of those songs that couldn't even be played on a real NES unless you sat there paused since so much system effort would have to go purely into making it sound good lol. Lovely job on the whole thing.
Wow, nice work! This is my fav Mega Man game of the original series, and was the very second I got to play, after X. I have such fond memories of this soundtrack, it certainly got me into videogame music. I really appreciate the passion and effort you put in this project. Also, thanks for sharing your thoughts and notes on the work. I’m a musician and it was very interesting to know what you went through to get this done! All the best!
Slash Man's Theme is one of my all-time favorites; from the first time I played MM8 all the way back, Slash Man's Theme still gets stuck in my head, randomly, to this day. At the time of this comment, I haven't even heard the rest of the album yet, as I just cannot stop listening to your version of Slash Man! So good! I am sure the rest is great too! Oh, and just now, while typing, Shade Man's Theme is playing, automatically! Another great cover! Where the hell have you been? Will you cover more? Thanks again!
Thank you for the very kind comment. Honestly, I've been out of the music-making game for quite a few years already, I just came back to finish this project. That being said, I do have similar 8-bit covers of the Maverick stages from Mega Man X sitting on my pc. If I can muster up the effort to make visuals for another video, that might come out eventually. Can't promise anything, though, since I am notoriously slow to finish things.
This is pretty sick honestly, there was only one track I didn't care for and it was wily stage 2 because I don't think the sound I like from the original can be done with these limitations
My man, this is nothing short of awesome! A compilation of great remixes of a soundtrack from a game that was a part of my childhood? You hands down killed it! Congratulations and keep up the good work, buddy! I'll subscribe to you, and I'm looking forward to check out your future work
Lol its funny to me that you said Wily 1 was the most troublesome to make, because its one of my favorite songs in the entire Mega Man franchise. I think you did a good job and the trouble was totally worth it 👍

Thanks! And nah, I probably couldn't pull off 8's soundtrack. I think doing something this comprehensive again would melt my mind into an 8-bit soup. If you'd like a real answer, MM7's soundtrack is stored like a bunch of commands and instructions in the ROM for the SNES sound chip to execute, which makes it very easy to isolate audio channels and get an accurate idea of every note and instrument. As far as I'm aware, MM8's music is all pre-recorded/finalised in the ROM like it is on a normal CD, so it can't really be pulled apart, meaning the whole thing would have to be transcribed purely by ear. It would be difficult and time-consuming compared to the MM7 songs. There's a little video game audio lecture for you if you're interested in the topic. I think it's quite interesting. If you want to find a few of the MM8 songs in 8-bit, a channel called FamiTard has made a few and continues to upload songs quite often. Their stuff is very good, so I'd recommend checking them out.
