A drop of Nelsons blood is a different name for roll the old chariot along though the same song, just different name and arranged differently
I am amazed that I learnt Nelson's Blood is a nickname for rum only a week ago. Now the song makes a lot more sense

It comes from the story that when Admiral Nelson was killed, they put his body in a barrel of rum. The song is suggesting that sailors wanted to drink the rum from the barrel where Nelson’s body was stored.
@@Joe_Tringle according to the tour guide at the HMS Victory, the level of rum in the barrel had indeed decreased when reaching Portsmouth.
