I like the parchment paper technique. I’ve made home made pizza before in our kitchen oven a couple of times using a pizza stone and a pizza peel. The hardest part always js sliding the pizza off the peel to the stone. I use corn meal and it works great but now I will try the parchment paper and may even purchase the Piezano pizza oven. Thanks.
Okay wait a second... I have received a ton of input since posting this video... One great idea was Foil!!! Ima try that and post it... you might wanna fool around with that idea also... Less chance of burning :) Thank you for the kind words friend!!!
Use the handles to rotate the pizza so you don't have to open the lid and rotate more frequently and less distance ( not 180 degrees, smaller increments ).
Haha, I didn't think it was that good, but I did try my best. I so humbly appreciate your kind words. Enjoy this amazing oven... No words can express how you will enjoy your pizza... You might not leave the house!!!
I just ordered mine. Hasn't come yet. But thanks for the tutorial it helps as I didn't know or think of using parchment paper. I love crunchie. Wish me luck.
@@isitanygood7574hello good video demo I like the parchment paper idea What if you cut the paper close to pizza side with no paper edges expose to heat elements? Do you think that would work? Thanks
It looks beautifully browned on the bottom. It was smart to use the parchment paper. I made 4 pizzas on mine without the parchment paper, and already the pizza stone is black and smoking a lot. It is really hard to get the stuff that falls onto the stone off. You can't wash the stone or get it wet.
woops!!! I clean mine with water and scrape it with a soft material, plastic or wooden spatula. But this is supposed to happen per the instructions, they call it seasoning but it performs so damn well!!! Also, the parchment paper burns... I only figured this out on the second try. The video Posted, was my first try. I don't think it'll hurt my stone, but if it does, trust me I'll make a short about it lol... I don't mind showing my blunders!!! Thanks Duke and if you a dad, happy US day!!!
While the stone is still hot, use the scraper it came with to scrape all the big bits off, you won't hurt the stone. Then wipe it down with a wet cloth. Be careful not to burn yourself.
The bottom 4 legs have rubber suction cups and at over 800d I have placed my had underneath it and have felt not much heat... I think it will be safe, but if you want a pro answer, I'm sure the company has a support that should properly answer this for you...
Two questions for you.. 1) did you say the diameter is exactly 12 inches? 2) you said it is recommended to let frozen pizza thaw but is it possible to cook a frozen pizza without thawing? Thank you
Hey Steve, thanks for the comment: 1. Yes it is 12" from end to end all around. Though if you were to place a pizza that is exactly 12" around, it might hit the outer edge of the oven as it dips down a bit. 10" is more realistic though you can always play around with it. 2. I'm sure, but clearly it will take a bit longer and you should cook at lower temps as it could burn in the outer and stay frozen or cold in the inner... but that is just plain ol' physics lol. Again, play with that frozen setting situation. I don't cause I like non frozen pizza for that Pizzeria experience at home. Cheers bud!!!
Humbly and Respectfully: Yes it was my idea... The paper can absolutely burn. I mentioned vigilance as it cooks fast. Later shorts I even showed what can happen with the paper. The real good thing about the paper is, getting the pizza in and out of the cooker. By the time my novice self puts on the sauce, toppings and tries to put it on the stone, it breaks a bit. The paper removes that issue and quickly starts to cook. I hope I made some sense! Have a wonderful weekend Darlene!!!
In another pizza oven review, they used parchment paper but removed it after 1 or 2 minutes and let the pizza rest on the stone for the remainder of cook time.
Would be good to have made a pizza first and then do the video. I have one of these and it works great if you follow instructions. Also, parchment paper is a terrible idea. Not designed for high heat and won’t allow crust to brown correctly. Pizza stones aren’t supposed to stay “clean.”
@@barbarathompson2634 It wasn't Raw and this was my first time using it... I agree.. parchment paper is no good here and the stone does season dark... now it looks like a dalmatian

Use caution when using parchment paper. It is not intended to be used above 400 to 425 degrees F
This dude has no idea.

I was just told to use Foil!!!
I'll be trying this out and see what works!!!
not a good pizza cutter cause its not a pizza cutter
You're Right! It's to scrape the stone clean. 😄
It's a pastry cutter.
It is also a dough and pastry cutter as one reply below indicated

Also the paper insulates the pizza from the stone to a certain degree.
It's not a cutter, it's a scraper for getting any excess food stuff off the stone.
