I'm trying to understand how a home-use medical/genetic scanner with the ability to diagnose any metabolic disease and provide personalized nutritional/medicinal disease-regression therapies would be made. Thanks for such a great video. It is very useful in developing my understanding.

Interesting video, but I am curious how one validates that if a new disease looks similar to the one studied, a misdiagnosis does not occur. CNN or filters are great, but how do we protect ourselves from unusual occurrences?

While I enjoyed learning about CNNs and think they will continue to play an important role in healthcare, where have they been hiding Ada Lovelace! That's a cool bit of knowledge that she was the first programmer.

For a tutorial on how to do deep learning based segmentation without the need to write any code using only open-source free software, we have recently published an arXiv preprint of this pipeline with a tutorial video here: ua-cam.com/video/9dTfUwnL6zY/v-deo.html
The pipeline is especially suited for pathologists who are not programmers and want to do deep segmentation of histopathological whole slide images.
