@@adventuresofhess1058 So, they made a video where they buy a Drone ... it was only ½ year ago, so I think they still use it. Here's the video : ua-cam.com/video/e4bFATXiuD4/v-deo.html
I installed a set of Hot Head headliners in my Jeep and no more sizzling hot roof! These things are the greatest. One of the best upgrades I've put on my Jeep. All Jeeps need a set of these. They even have them for soft tops.
5th generation born and raised Arizona. Desert Rat. Today's new lighting systems are unreal! Fantastic. Ain't nothing like desert running at night - too darn Hades Hot to run during the day! Full Moon hikes, horse rides, canoe trips are a blast. no lights... This has been a good series. Nice to see some fun shots, hard escapade rock crawling to visiting local small towns and ghost towns. Pack it In, Pack it Out! stay safe all.
Would also recommend venting your rotopax fuel canisters every morning before driving. Unless you have the venting nozzle it will build a lot of pressure inside.
I envy you guys so much... i use to think ball players had the best life because they was payed to do what they enjoy so much.. but you guys have the best life ever.. you get to wheel all over the USA with friends while making new friends, you come and go as you please and get to sit back and enjoy good times around camp fires and have a beer. I just can't get enough of your videos... i could just put them on repeat and watch all day long. You truly are a daily asset to me. Much love to you two.... and keep them coming.
Man that night drone footage was rad ! Also, I seem to remember that someone (me) once told Kevin and & Brittany to get their hands on an infrared camera and see how the BesTop stood up to temperatures. "Sure", they said! And then they never did it ! ... yeah, I'm looking at you Kevin !! 😂
Yeah baby "Night Brite Nation" love the lights and the drone night shots. You guys are really making it hard not to get inspired about overlanding. Till the next video, Aldo out. 🔥🤠🌵🏜⛽ Happy 4th guys be safe
Trail Recon just posted a video where they went out for one night and ran into a rattlesnake. I cracked up when I saw it remembering your struggles. Lol
Congratulations!!!!!. You have completed your teaching os a Jeep Wrangler Build and Wheel master course. I KNEW trhat you two were the right people. Most practical and experienced. War-story based. Thanks!
Hardtop insulation is wonderful. I'm 6'4 so i can feel the heat radiating off the hardtop in AZ. Wheeling at night is awesome. I have done the back way to CK twice at night, which was great. Cool weather and no traffic. Congrats on your trip and not dying. Welcome back to civilization.
Bullwinkle and Brittany survive the Peace Trail in one piece with no bandages or cast's or Gladiator carnage. That makes me happy and I can now go to bed and rest peacefully without any worries. Good job ya'all.....ROCK ON!
6:01 Little Bunny Foo Foo Hopping Through the forest scooping up the field MICE and bopping them on the head . Who remembers this from summer camp cooking smoors.
Awesomeness...great video with the content...wonderful night footage....the foster child held up beautifully...egarly awaiting yr next video...Safe travels
You guys should do crown king really cool trial especially in the winter because it goes from desert to crossing a little body of water to snowing but in the summer it's just cooler
That trail must not have been much of anything... your windshield didn't crack! Congratulations you two for surviving your first overland experience! Out in the middle of nowhere all alone had to be nerve racking at times. Now you need to get that Alaska trip going again! It's been said multiple times already, but I'm going to add another compliment to the night time drone footage. It looked amazing! I seem to remember you talking about the drone some when you bought it, but like others, it would be interesting to see a review of how you operate it. Great to see your adventures! Thanks for sharing! Be safe! PS... when you put the new tires on... white letters out... because white letters matter...
Very beautiful night run with drone shots. Wow. That was an insanely long trail. I hope you guys can just go and have a spa day somewhere. You guys need and deserve it. Stay safe guys.
If You ever gets tired of wheeling, or making UA-cam videos, You can be Overlanding-Rig designers! Foster Child is an amazing build! I will say Foster Child is a benchmark for the making of a capable Overlanding Vehicle! Thanks for the fabulous videos of Your trip in the Arizona desert!
You guys lead one extraordinary and inspiring lifestyle. Thanks for bringing us along, I love watching every minute of it. Not everyone gets to live a true adventure like yall! It is true what they say, it's not just a Jeep, its a lifestyle!
I always loved night wheeling in the desert. Baja designs is excellent.... I've used alot of their products for years for my dirt bikes. This series rocked....for me one of your best. Hey when you get back to Chatsworth.... rattlesnakes all over the place in the hills here.
Congrats on the trip. Thanks for taking us along on the journey. One question. How did you do the drone footage and drive at the same time? Who is controlling the drone?
It has a follow feature so that when you're doing that it automatically follows the remote or whatever. As far as how high or low to go while doing that and stuff I have no idea. There is a video when they bought it you can get the model n stuff and research that.
You did it!!! Congrats on finishing the trail! The Gladiator did great! Our Jeep has seen better days and is a sad excuse of an overlanding vehicle so we are pumped to have a chance to win this Jeep!!!
You want to see Rattlesnakes take Hwy 3 between Harlowton MT and Lavina MT. That road used to be a bad place to stop and check your load on a big truck. Always ran them over because they were playing chicken rules and crossing the road. Went north out of Childress TX on Hwy 83 and saw a migration of scorpions moving west. Looked like heat wave but it was moving one way, then we got closer and the ground was covered with them moving one direction. Didn't sound to good when we had to move on...
At the power company I work for we place those towers about 4-5 per mile depending on terrain/load/etc. So you're for sure throwing light well over 2,000 ft. Almost half a mile!
When using RotoPax in the desert, be sure to loosen the cap daily to vent the gas fumes. We were told about this step after one of ours burst a seam when driving through the Utah desert in the summer. RotoPax still replaced the tank at no cost.
100% agree, I've been in Vegas the past 2 weeks, temls around 110 and I was VERY surprised that I could the Sunrider was not to hot to keep my hand against it! I have to try touch the hard top tomorrow.
New nicknames for you two - "Rocky and Bullwinkle"! LOL! Yes, you've built the built the best Overlanding rig I've seen yet! All the knowledge you've gathered on building StepChild, all the experimentation has really paid off. 800 miles and reliable, comfortable and apparently fast too! I'd love to see what she weighs now..FosterChild I mean...! LiteBriteNationBumperToBumper!
I noticed there were some blind spots on the front left and right and you may have too much light straight ahead. Is there a way to shine light there (just left and right) in case you want to make a steep turn and want to see where you're going at night? Just a thought. Awesome trip. Great to see how everything is coming along. Keep up the good work and thanks.
Lights are sic! Very nice night time drone action!!! And a full nut and bolt check...lol. If something breaks once or twice it's probably a good part to have a spare.
Great job for first overland build and completing the Arizona peace trail with no major issues! I will do this trail one day in my sxs’s but first I will do it in my gladiator, you know the one I’m winning in October!
Thermal capacity. Put a block of steel and a block of styrafoam in an oven and heat to 150 degrees. When they have reached temperature, you can hold the styrafoam but not the steel. The steel has a lot of energy stored and will heat up you hand while the stryafoam has little and quickly cools down to your hand temperature.
I liked the side view better wIth the mirrors up/out. I left mine like that a lot unless I knew I wasn't going to be towing anytime soon. Better to leave them out then have to adjust the mirror angles each time. I do like the F450 mirrors I now have better.
I'm with you Kev, don't worry what others think with the mirrors pulled out. Your babe wife is very likeable I can see how Brittany got the nickname Lite Brite, she's very smart and brightens up the atmosphere.
Guys! I’ve been away for a couple months ( trying to catch up now). Love that rig!!! Really hope you have to send it to me up here in 🇨🇦 haha ! There’s a couple really good Jeep clubs around me (Alberta) and I’m sure I’d be warmly accepted showing up with this wicked rig. Great video as always. Nice work on completing the trail. 👌 Been subscribed for about a year now. Ever since I thought I’d trade my pick up for a Gladiator. Still In my truck but I know my next vehicle will be a Gladiator. A lot of that decision came from watching you guys. Now Idk if I’d ever get it to where your build is but I know for sure now what the things I need are to get me in the mountains deeper than I’ve ever camped/hunted before. Keep it up you two! 🍻 P.s.. nice ghost trailer🤦♂️😂
You guys should put a pickup bed camper that would fit over the neck of your gooseneck trailer. Some have lots of room inside and you might have enough trailer bed to put two jeeps on it
I traded my hard top for a soft top. Mainly before it stuck taking the hardtop off by myself. But I've noticed that the inside Temps are very nice in summer and winter no more death when I get in. Yah its a little noisier but its equivalent to cracking your window.
Great video guys. I want to do the peace trail now but I think I'll wait tell fall after it cools off a little 🙂 you guys should look into getting a sat phone for just incase
21:12 I have also been thinking about installing a rooftop tent setup on a goose neck trailer for hauling my jeep and doing some camping too. Would love to see you guys do something like that to give me some ideas. ;) I think it would also be awesome to have some storage, water and fridge on the front of the trailer. Has anyone else done anything like this?
And God said let there be light. And there was like. Damn those lights are bright. The Drone footage to was awesome with the nighttime so sweet. And I'm glad you guys made it back in one piece. And if I win the Jeep can I keep the old tires to.?
i have never used my spare fuel either but i've given a gallon or 2 to motorcycles that ran out once in the middle of nowhere in the mountains lol! those poor guys were gonna have a serious hike out.
Watching the drone footage, I was thinking, oh those lights are not that bright. Then when you showed us the fox and I realised that was your side lights and not the front lights, I'm buying me some bajas!!!
During your night ride and the aerial video was recording something was in your left that moved away after you had passed it. From the size of it I think it was a desert big foot. What ever it was it had size. Fun video
That rig is Hot as Balls!! What about a pro rock rear away bar. Bullwinkle mirrors lol !! Is your drone Rocky? You guys are awesome can't wait for the next. 😁😁
you guys been on this trail for 7 days and still haven't seen a rattle snake.. trailrecon goes on a 1 night off road trail with his son and sees a rattle snake.. hehe.. love you guys :)
Just got a Gladiator and I'm trying to figure out what lift to run. How much body roll does the triangulated 4 link add if any? Definitely considering the Rock Krawler springs and shocks.
Just getting around to watching this. Looks like all the deer and mice you saw were pronghorns and most likely the Arizona prairie dogs. They are very small, about the same size as a mouse.

Love this series! And you will not likely see rattlesnakes in summer here it’s too hot, come in March-May for them to be the most active. Have you guys been to Table Mesa or Crown King?
That drone footage at night with all of those lights on looks absolutely insane!

Thanks for the great tip. I’ll remember that.

The one's saying you don't need sway bars in the rear most likely have leaf springs.
Awesome Love That Night Time Drone Footage
Jeeps tops getting hot has it's own topic on the forums !!!, soft tops liner or just having a white hardtop helps big time !!!

Are the axles factory width? If so, what is the offset on those wheels? The stance of that Jeep is PERFECT!

Did the bed rack come with the third brake light? Also if I don’t get jelly’s nose art I don’t want it
Yes, the bedrock has a third brake light along the top bar!
You guys should put a pickup bed camper that would fit over the neck of your gooseneck trailer. Some have lots of room inside and you might have enough trailer bed to put two jeeps on it
Great video. What is the map app you're using? You show a shot of it at the end where you're at 791 miles.
The drone footage is absolutely sick! Love this video!
I traded my hard top for a soft top. Mainly before it stuck taking the hardtop off by myself. But I've noticed that the inside Temps are very nice in summer and winter no more death when I get in. Yah its a little noisier but its equivalent to cracking your window.
Apple cider vinegar and rubbing alcohol half each will take the nose kisses of the windows, works for foot prints also.
How fast can you go and the drone can keep up, I assume it’s a mavic pro
I think the drones go about 30-35 mph, obviously there's faster drones out there - But I think 30-35 mph is about the average speed.
Great video guys. I want to do the peace trail now but I think I'll wait tell fall after it cools off a little 🙂 you guys should look into getting a sat phone for just incase

Nice job with the night drone shots. Could use some a pillar lights to fill in the black hole between the lp6 and the squadrons.
The air that flows past the soft top cools it because it is too thin to retain the heat. The hard top is much harder for wind to cool down.
the fox wanted a ride out of the damn hot as hell desert. He was running after you ( yelling, TAKE ME, TAKE ME ) and you just left him. Poor Fox.
During your night ride and the aerial video was recording something was in your left that moved away after you had passed it. From the size of it I think it was a desert big foot. What ever it was it had size. Fun video
An RTT on the gooseneck part of your trailer would be awesome!
DAMN! Wish I'd had known you were going to be in Phoenix last week. I'd have stuck around an extra day to meet you guys while I was there.
Loved the nighttime drone footage! Happy Fourth, Kevin and Brittany! Stay safe :)
Out of all the people and vehicles you wheeled with, which is better off road the Jeep gladiator or the Ford F-150?
Drone shots at night. Awesome!
I was waiting for another upload to watch just checked and here I am
That rig is Hot as Balls!! What about a pro rock rear away bar. Bullwinkle mirrors lol !! Is your drone Rocky? You guys are awesome can't wait for the next. 😁😁

I just have to say those night shots with the drone though 😍😍😍😍
Just awesome guys, really enjoyed that! What was the app you used for your trip. Thanks !
You two look tired and drained of all energy. Happy trails and be well :)
I think the cloth top doesn't transmit as much heat as the plastic top - so better insulation?
Big lines like that are typically around 1000ft spacing. I built those for a living.
Just getting around to watching this. Looks like all the deer and mice you saw were pronghorns and most likely the Arizona prairie dogs. They are very small, about the same size as a mouse.
I love night rides, but I don't have a turn on the sun button 😁♥️♥️💯🤙
Found more power for the Gladiator. Magusen super charger. Since you didn't have the power to bump around that big rock. The super charger will give you that Hemi power you talked about. Thanks for the sharing of the Peace trail adventure guys.
Brittany is that the new dust makeup I saw in Arizona Jeepin magazine. Rock on lite brite nation..
Does the build come with the drone? ❤️
Love this series! And you will not likely see rattlesnakes in summer here it’s too hot, come in March-May for them to be the most active. Have you guys been to Table Mesa or Crown King?
The Bullwinkle mirrors are much easier to see out of, even when you're not towing a trailer...embrace it. People looking are just jealous :D
Very cool, well done you all. #JellyNation survived the overland and looked cute doing it.
Really enjoyed the drone footage...those lights perfect
Can you get stickie tires?
I'm near Houston and I noticed the heat transfer difference the day I bought the besttop soft top
