- We had some of the best food at the Lepau Restaurant in Kuching. This restaurant serves Orang Ulu food from the Kayan Tribe. The Kayan live in Northern Sarawak and they have many unique dishes. We had fresh Umai, Tapioca Leaves, Terung Dayak Soup, and more!
My parents are leaving back to The Netherlands soon, so we had a great meal together before we have to say goodbye. My wife and baby Milow joined as well and it was a memorable evening!

Miss lepau restaurant. I have been part of the the staff before.. Have alot of memories at there. Can meet people all over the world.. Always recommend people to try food at there.. One of the food best food is chicken of fish cook with wild ginger flower and also the terung asam with smoked fish..

The leaf-wrapped rice is called kanen tapei in Kayan. Miss that kind of food😋

That's an awesome restaurant, one of our favorites every time we visit Kuching. Unfortunately we have not been able to go back to see the family for 2 years now.

Got to try d famous bario rice one day. All d dishes looked so good, unique n delicious at Lepau Restaurant. Lovely ambience.

I was there about 3 years ago and the food was fantastic and we all had such a good time.i was born in Sibu but now live in Australia and we do travel back to Sarawak for our holidays.Laksa and kampua mee are my favourite too

It was delicious. The price is not too bad. Not cheap, but not expensive either. For the four of us it was about MYR 150 I believe.
