২০৩০ সাল নাগাদ পুরো ঢাকাকে মেট্রো নেটওয়ার্কে আনতে ৬টি রুটে ট্রেন চালাতে চা্য় সরকার। এর অন্যতম একটি রুট হলো গাবতলী থেকে নারায়নগঞ্জ পর্যন্ত ৩৫ কিলোমিটার মেট্রো লাইন নির্মাণ। এমআরটি টু নামে পরিচিত এই লাইন নির্মাণে এবার চীনের অর্থায়ন চাইবে সরকার।
