"Doesn't matter who you love son if you don't love yourself son" a lesson I wish I learned along time ago, how can you love anyone when you can't even love yourself?. How can you be someone to look up to when you look down on yourself?. There is no guide book to being a man and so many of us feel lost because of that, but a man defines himself and not by the opinions of others. that to be sure of yourself, to be strong enough to wether any storm, to be the best son and father you have to love yourself. The first time I heard "The Spark", early in 2020, it stopped me in my tracks. Who was this beautiful voice. But this song (The Gun) is incredibly important -- I hope it touches many, deeply, as much as it has grabbed me -- as if he has known me for decades. Perhaps he will be recognized soon as "The Voice of Canada"...
