That was great but where do you win a state team title in a dual meet? We had a dual meet tournament when I was in school but the state tournament was set up in brackets and the the team with the most points won.
Minnesota runs it full bracket style, so basically seeded 1 through 5 ans then random draw for the other match up. Then you face off in duals (bracket). Hastings was the 3 seed in the state, stma was 1. Hastings lost to them in the regular season too. They also beat Waconia who was 2 and lost to in the regular season
@@thatguyhunna8929 I’ve never seen it like that before. I think it is a great idea to have a dual meet championship event alongside the individual state event. They would obviously keep team scores at the individual tournament as well, the thing is that not all teams that win in dual meets will also win the team trophy for most points in the individual tournament. Do they put more weight on one tournament over the other?
@M.I.L.C Movement for International Love of Calvin it's actually pretty evenly. Wrestling state in MN is a three day event at the Xcel Center (MN Wild Arena). It just takes longer to get through the individual tournaments over teams. They do the team tournament on the first day for 3 classes and then move into the state individuals that takes two days including a a state tourney for the Girls Individuals as well (last day)
Amazing come back!
That was insane
That was epic. Would have loved to be there.

Minnesota apparently

Never leave it in the judges hands.(with anything!)
That 220 was definitely not pinned. His left shoulder was 4 inches off the ground.
Couple kids didn’t look pinned but the camera must not have shown the part where they were pinned
