The Figure 8 with Brad Bohen

I had the opportunity to head down to Tony, Wisconsin and spend an afternoon chasing Musky with Mr. Brad Bohen. We took some time over lunch to do a full length interview on Musky Fly Fishing and I wanted to pull this segment out and highlight it.
Some tips from Brad:
Set it up from the start of the cast
Finish LOW - DEEP (3-4ft deep)
Smooth, Elliptical shape - change of speed/depth
Always move the fly away from you
Practice it 999 times for the 1 time you need it

This method 100% makes sense, but how often does it result in broken rod tips? Especially in dark shallow rivers…
