S.M.S.L. DA-1 Speaker Amp Review - The Default Budget Amp?

The S.M.S.L. DA-1 at $50 is probably the default budget speaker amplifier. Isn’t it?

If you look at the data sheet for the tpa3118 it's only really a 30w onto 8ohms amp. Probably fine for desktop and bookshelf speakers. Dosen't make it sound bad, but all of these Chinese chip amp manufacturers inflate the raw output performance.

The Aiyima Mini with the TPA3116 sounds pretty good at $33 with a 24V power supply sold at Ali Express. Twenty dollars without power supply has bass and treble controls and Bluetooth. The Lepy with the Tripath chips are my first love, but quality is lacking.
