5 Tips to Boost Your Metabolism

  • Do you want to know how to boost your metabolism for fat loss?
Your Thyroid is largely responsible for your Metabolic rate, so all of these tips will help thyroid function and your metabolism
Eat more protein - Increased protein promotes optimal thyroid signaling and your thyroid is largely responsible for your Metabolic rate. You're very likely not eating enough of this. A 5’4” should have about 120g/protein per day and a 5’9” male should have about 155g/day. Most people are getting about half that.
Alcohol directly and indirectly suppresses thyroid function so it would be wise to stop drinking
Eat more foods with the amino acid tyrosine in them, like beef and raw dairy
Also, eat more glycine-containing foods like bone grass-fed beef bone broth or gelatin.
Both of those amino acids are very important for optimal thyroid function
Stop eating polyunsaturated fatty acids. These will down-regulate thyroid function, slow your metabolism, and make you fat. So cut the ultra-processed foods and commercial salad dressings
And give me a follow if you want some helpful fat loss tips.

@@michaelmoore2802 See? He sounds confident and talks fast so you believe what he's saying. To trust someone on the internet, the person must provide research for the claims he makes, even more if he has no credentials. There's probably no research and that's why he doesn't mention it. You're safer if you disregard people like this entirely. Here's what doesn't seem to be right:
Eat more protein for increased thyroid function. The US eats on average double the RDI of protein, and this guy is telling you to eat another 50% more than that. He's probably talking about the thermogenic effect of protein in which you burn more calories to digest protein than carbs and fat, but still, why put a protein target for that?
Polyunsaturated fats slow metabolic rate. Absolute 💩
Foods high in tyrosine and glicine are good for thyroid function. Even if there was evidence those 2 were benefitial, that still wouldn't prove meat and milk are good foods for the intended purpose.
The whole concept that metabolic rate is important for weight loss. I don't think this is even a thing that matters in terms of practical application.

Not all polyunsaturated fats are bad for you 😊 There are polyunsaturated fatty acids that are essential for your cell function (omega-3-fatty acids) and they help regulate triglycerides and cholesterol in your blood stream, which lowers the risk for cardiovascular disease 😉

Stop spreading misinformation so much. A 75kg 5'9 male needs around 60-80g of protein for normal thyroid function, not 150g. While that amount of protein would be great for you, and necessary if you are weight lifting, it only increases thyroid function by a small margin. You've deliberately used a misleading fact to make the average person believe that 150g of protein is necessary for normal thyroid function, when that isn't the case unless you're working out (which they should be regardless tbf) in which case it will increase the level of muscle you gain and speed up muscle recovery time.

@Rick Vis Not optimal fats on their own in the absence of 3's. But we essentially agree with the same that they need to be paired off.

Great video, I'm 6'3, but the amount of protein i take a day is around 100 gms a day (including 2 protein shakes and 4 whole eggs), i am a non-vegetarian but can't take meat everyday.
I do weight training everyday except on Sundays.
What should I do to increase my protein consumption?
    Thank you in advance ❤

Drink milk, yogurt, more eggs, beef jerky, or just eat an extra chicken breast a day

I just have a question Sir about drinking a Glass of water with 10ml of Apple cider vinegar. Is it good to boost the methabolism? Cause I've read a lot about it and everyone says yes

Stop looking for shortcuts... The only way to lose fat is through a calorie deficit. This guy is a quack!

It would be most helpful is you could show us what 155 grams of protein looks like. (3 serving of beef the size of my fist???)

155 grams of protein for a guy 5'9"? Maybe if you got a lot of muscle mass and pumping iron every day, but that seems like way too much for the common guy. An average guy at that height would need only about half that amount.
