    Appreciated the video dude. Just did my WJ knuckle swap with tie rod flip and 1 ton Barnes 4wd tie rods. Had a heck of a time with my cheap ball joint kit. You're a huge help as always !

    Excellent video! Clear, concise and entertaining. He actually made replacing ball joints look fun. Lol.. I had to pop a top before video was over. Anyhow...very well done.
    Thanks

    This is the top ball joint instructional video I have seen.

    Thanks for taking the time to film and edit this process! I'll be doing this job for the first time on my ZJ soon and I'll be using this video for reference.

      You are welcome! It is very similar to a ZJ so this will without a doubt help you.

    Thanks for another great video, I just recently went through all the front end components chasing the death wobble, my track bar surprisingly was the only good part under there. Final components replaced were the ball joints. I, however didn’t use ball joints. I used the ball joint delete kit by American Iron Offroad. Now I won’t ever have to press new joints again. If they go bad, it’s just bearing replacements. The price is a bit high but so are high end ball joints like Tera Flex. Saving the c from too many presses, this saving me $ in the long run. When you have to replace the ball joints again, maybe look into those. 😎

    I have a giant C clamp that has a perpendicular metal rod through the top screw, that slides so don’t even need a wrench to turn, can do it by hand.

      It can be done with out that kit. The kit does make it easier. Glad the video helped! Good seeing ya in the comments!!

    I beat mine in all kinds of ways and soaked it tried an impact driver- nothing. I was frustrated this was the second afternoon . I decided to punish it leaving the C clamp on the joint with much pressure all nite. The next afternoon I gave it some fire. Took a wrench to it and it worked .

    Did not clean and grease the axle shaft prior to reinstall ? Did you need to verify the seal placement of the axle?

    Like your video. Tried to find the tapered adapter but Amazon no longer has it. Trying to locate it elsewhere.

    It was a beast because that joint is knurled, not knurled would be easier to put in.

    I wish they sold the front axle assembly like they do for the rear. I can get rear chromoly axles, fully assembled for $500

    Hey related questions i changesd all my dash lights out for led bulbs and now odometer and speedo wont light and the other gages are really dim any advice on what to check

    • @Poweraddicts
      @Poweraddicts  Рік тому

      If they dont light up, possible they need turned 180 degrees, most LEDs have polarity. If they are dim check your ground connections. In rare instances the dash dimmer may actually be turned down enough to make them go dim. Most of the time the dash dimmer will make them turn off when the voltage gets too low. Also make sure all the contact points are clean. Have a good one man!!
