Yea I ran into nightwish this week on pandora I added them and then found more and more such as within temptation now trying to listen to everything. It is like a new journey an adventure for music.

Sharon Den Adel's voice was heavenly.....Then she morphed that voice into her current Sharon...wannabe Amy Lee voice and I lost interest. I just can't support an artist that would willingly dumb down her vocals like she did.

She isn't dumbing down her vocals. She is exploring a new part of her voice while exploring different styles. Plus as the voice ages the voice can get deeper (not always the case). She was very head voice dependand back then and eventually your head voice won't be as strong.
