TrackIR and a motion seat don't play well together on UA-cam :D Every tiny head movement gets exaggerated by like 10 times (give or take a few, depending on the Tracker profile). Makes the Swift Crashes more hilarious though! XD
Holy crap Jeff threading the shoulder around an accident like a maniac. xD I was half expecting "Near miss!" notifications to come up on the screen Burnout-style
Oh yeah, I think this is the most energetic and jolly Jeff has ever been in a truck sim video, and imagine him when he does this on a DD wheel on 100 percent
Just a tip, STOP ACCELERATING!!!! When your truck has no brakes, and you are utilising a runaway ramp, you do not power on the throttle. You release all throttle, the aim is to stop the truck not reach the end of the ramp. It's something that causes your results to be very unrealistic and in most terms inaccurate. A driver with no brakes is going to do everything to force the truck to stop, not push it through the end of the runaway lane. But all the comments about the Swift truck are spot on
I live in BC and drive that highway all the time. Those runaway lanes actually go up very steep like 45 degrees and that’s how they slow you down. Or they are deep gravel and that slows you down by creating drag. Good video!
It's the same for me. I've always wondered what he looks like. He definitely looks a lot different than I expected. I felt like his voice did not match his body.
@@ollijokinen1571 Ya, there’s just a few that do, but it’s awesome to see Jeff on here, he’s always been entertaining to be around and his personality hasn’t changed a whole lot from when I’d see him @ different friend’s houses. I didn’t know he had this channel until I saw the link through AirForceProud’s channel
When they first put in the road on the hill above Lewiston, Idaho a truck actually overshot the end of the ramp. The ramp had to be extended after that.
I’ve been driving for swift for 8 years, guess who’s never smoked their brakes? This guy, yet we have owner ops and psychos from small companies flying down I-70 and like last year killed 8 people barreling down the hill into Denver at 90mph in rush hour traffic.
Because it's all about the driver not the company, I got my license at SWIFT, then worked at Schneider, now I'm owner operator with a W900, and I do 80 in a 70 which is only 10 over. No different than doing 65 in a 55, and I do completely fine. Going down mountains I follow if it says truck speed limit, if not I do what I feel is safe, most of the time my engine brake is always being used regardless of the weight I'm at so I can save my brakes.
Yeah, a Swift truck.... Ahhh the memories, seeing them pulled on the side, doing stupid shit, etc lol Was that Donner Pass? 75 mph in the winter, swift truck, seems legit 😃😎
Hysterical. Simply hysterical. I work for Swift. They really are a great company despite all the hateful rhetoric from the competition. They are not Number 1 for nothing. I paid for all my truck driving lessons and also have a Logitech G27 setup that helped me get through certification on my own. Keep up the good work. Subscribed.
Lol I tried this a while back and it slowed down a little but those yellow buckets at the end stopped me. The real pain is backing your trailer back down the ramp. Love your vids Jeff keep it up 👍
Man the way the truck got thrown around definitely made me think it was gonna work! They might update it after they realize people actually want to see if it works. Fingers crossed
Keeping things real life in video games like ATS is nice and all but just going all out and doing crazy stuff like in this short video is even nicer. Mix things up, it was cool. Keep up the good work, Jeff.
The fact a swift truck was used is very accurate.😂😂😂
Yeh 😂😂😂
has me rolling.
Lol first thought that popped into my head.
First in "Crash"
Yea jake brake who dis??
The ramp doesn't need to be steeper, the surface needs more drag. It should be like the sand pit on a race track or a golf course.
@TruewoC no I’m pretty sure he said steep 😂
@@Verloxcitykilledyou Maybe he said "sheep." :O
It's because the ramp is frozen
It needs to be pea gravel not three quarter Crush
He said “more deep” not steep .
Lol at the Swift Truck for this video idea. Great video Jeff.
This should be called Swift Crash Simulator lol
bruhhhhh
For real ace
@@anticommunistofdeutschland Bruh what
Ik because swift is known for best in crash 😂

Lmao
Simulation accuracy confirmed!
5 wheeling
SCS needs to make those ramps actually work just for the fun of it.
They work in RL if u have some brakes
They do work. They work in my game, they stop my trucks instantly, but looks mods can interfere last time I tried them in game I had no mods enabled.
Yes and also add random break failures so that we may have to use it lol

Of course, Jeff had to use a Swift truck 😆
"Hit the shoulder Jeff!" should be on a T-shirt with a picture of a truck two wheeling it on a curve 🤣
I would buy that shirt
Make this happen Jeff
"jeff screams*
"ahhhhhhh"
"hit.. HIT THE SHOULDER JEFF"
Dude this is the quality kind of content that is soooo fun to watch! Nice work!
Oh wow, this is the first time iv ever seen how much a “home” motion simulator setup can actually throw you around.
Thumbs up Jeff
You picked the perfect skin for this video. "Oh no it's swift!"
This video is gold, the seat motion is perfect, your reaction is priceless, and answered a question I had for a while! Thank you Jeff!!
For the run away ramps to work they have to add soft terrain physics so the wheels dig into the gravel
0:39 “This week on Highway Thru Hell...”
"Break check not gonna do it"

weid the runaway ramps used to work properly in ats i remember hitting them a year ago and it would slow you down to a crawl
Me telling my kids a scary story: THE RETURN OF THE SWIFT DRIVER.

God I love your setup. The fact that the seat moves when you turn is fucking AWESOME!!!
Hit the shoulder jeff! Hit the shoulder!! 😂 hold on to er!
Had me crackin up 😂
They need a cinematic mode so we can watch you like this and then after a 2nd view from the outside of the truck going up the ramp!! Nice video ty
Jeff: nope, they don t work....
ATS: *after watching this video* oops, we need to fix that!

Using Swift as a simulation for a runaway ramp is so accurate.
Thanks Jeff, I always wondered if they would actually stop the truck but never got around to use them. Now I know!
Could you imagine being a construction worker seeing a 24 ton vehicle hurling at you doing 80?
I'm pretty sure you would make it into the Guinness book of world records for the fastest confession of sins!
Heh, loved the fact you used a swift truck. Really adds immersion to the game 😂.
Oh yeah, I think this is the most energetic and jolly Jeff has ever been in a truck sim video, and imagine him when he does this on a DD wheel on 100 percent
We will definitely need more of these need to all kinds of loads especially oversize great video Jeff keep em coming along
From what I've seen, the runaway truck ramps have piles of gravel every ten feet or so to help the truck slow down.
I drive a T680 day cab and absolutely love it. This sound pack is super realistic. Such a fun video!
Am I the only one who was really anticipating this video‼️
Nope. I was really hoping they would work too!
thats such a cool rig to have indoors! cant believe it throws you around like that
