They expect you to go straight into dating upon meeting someone even though the two of you barely know each-other outside of surface level things while skipping over just simply being friends with the person before you start dating them, which doesn't really work for a lot of people. Myself included
It's also worth noting that on most of the dating apps you go to, 70%-80% of the users you'll find will be men while the rest will be women. Which would lead men to having to compete with each-other for a vastly smaller percentage of women, and that brings us to a disparity between the two (adding in with the fact that men generally care more about looks than women do as studies have shown time and time again)
