Because they are better throwers than him. Lamar is great and on a hof trajectory with 2 mvp’s but his downfield throw consistency leaves much to be desired.
I'll say this. Allen is a great Quarterback. But not only is Mahomes in a league of his own, the discussion between Allen and Lamar isn't loud enough. I just hear Tim Hasslebeck talk about how hard it is to be accurate when you're asked to be such a runner. Well Lamar's been asked to be even more of a runner, never had a top 20 WR on the outside, only had one year with a legit NFL passing scheme, and is by the numbers, more accurate than Allen, with a higher TD % despite FAR fewer attempts, a lower interception %, and all while throwing deeper down the field, than Allen. Yet, the years that Lamar spent in Roman's passing scheme are held against him like a murder he committed twenty years ago. In fact, in college, Lamar was more accurate than Allen, throwing deeper down the field, in a pro style offense, against tougher competition, and there were suggestions he change positions, while Allen was drafted top 10. I say this not to say that Allen is a bad QB. He's great. But no team in the NFL has cared less about the passing game over the past 25 years, than the Ravens and Lamar having to develop in that environment, I think is held against him too much.

Allen has 73 more total TDs than Lamar since 2020 and he has more than double Lamar's playoff wins where he plays his best compared to Lamar who plays his worst in the playoffs every year. Allen has 26 total TDs in the playoffs compared to Lamar's 9 and Allen has less turnovers in the playoffs as well... Sorry but no team in the NFL would take Lamar over Allen.

Josh Allen is not overrated. For one, he’s maybe the most durable QB in the league. Despite his style of play sometimes involving running over and trucking defenders, he hasn’t missed a game since his rookie season. The best ability is availability, both Burrow and Lamar have missed significant time with injury.
Allen’s Playoff performances are better than Lamar, Burrow, and anyone except Mahomes. Burrow hasn’t thrown a single 4th quarter TD in the Playoffs. Allen threw 2 within the last 2 minutes against the Chiefs and lost because his defense couldn’t get a stop with 13 seconds left. The Bills defense has been decimated with injuries the last two seasons. He also played better against this years Chiefs defense than any of the other QBs in the Playoffs. For all his turnover warts he has 17 TD’s and 4 INT in the Playoffs. Yes he turns the ball over a lot, but he also has more TDs than any player since 2020, since 2021, since 2022, and last year.
Is he Mahomes? No. But I fail to see why he can’t be considered the second best. Lamar definitely has the hardware, but even last year, Allen’s numbers were better, and he undeniably gets better while Lamar gets worse.

LJ has more MVPs, All-pro selections, impressive stats that are historically great, pro bowls (even tho idc about that "popularity contest"), 2nd highest winning % since entering etc. etc.

I completely disagree. To me, I don't think it's arguable that Josh is #2. Burrow is never healthy. Josh Allen far outplays Lamar in the playoffs. These top guys are not wayyy behind Mahomes. It’s a team game his organization flipped Hill for 2 future all pro level defensive starters. Reid Spags are geniuses put any of the top 7-9 guys in KC their Mahomes. And Mahomes was my # 1 QB in his class pre draft. But he’s clearly plays for a organization that were winning 11 games a season w/ Alex Smith.

Lamar carries a team without being wreckless; plays in a tougher division (Bengals, Steelers, Browns)...Josh has no competition in his division--just Miami--which is why his stats looks so good; Lamar wins MVPs.... What I find laughable is people always rate Burrow high because he beats Mahomes, but don't rank Lamar higher because he constantly beats Burrow! LMAO!!! Just Lamar hate. Joe Burrow the most overrated QB ever. living off of the the bengals' few deep playoff runs. 9td 4 ints in 7 games. No truly great performance in the playoffs. Most mediocre playoff stats. He is not special at any facet of QBing.

He's led the league in completion %, is the most accurate QB in league history, has thrown for the most 400+ yard games in a player's first 3 seasons, and has the most 500+ passing yard games with 4 TDs in league history, but he's not a special elite QB that is a rare talent to find.
Think about all of the gunslingers that haven't come anywhere close to throwing for 500 yards in multiple games. Mahomes, Allen, Stafford, Aaron, Brady and Peyton. He'll only accrue even more over the next 15 years. That stat alone proves his greatness.
No special playoff performances. That's delusional. He took the worse O line in NFL history to the Super Bowl. 4/5 of those O line starters are out of the NFL. You do realize they allowed him to be sacked 19 times in 4 playoff games the Super Bowl year, which was an NFL record that you don't want to break.
9 of those sacks came in one game against the Titans as well and he just kept battling/elevating everyone's play around him until the end without showing a single pulse.
He's also been sacked more times than Mahomes in only 3 seasons of play juxtaposed to Mahomes' 6 seasons (Burrow-148 times in 52 games for reference Andrew Luck was sacked 115 times in 52 games; Mahomes- 148 times in 114 games played). Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson have been sacked 169 times in 86 games for Lamar and 175 times for Josh in 94 games.
The Super Bowl game, the Chiefs 2022 AFCCG when he led them to the biggest comeback in AFCCG history, demolishing the Bills in the divisional round without 3 of his starting O linemen were just some of his greatest playoff moments.
By your standard Mahomes would also be overrated since he's only thrown 7td's to 5 interceptions in all 4 Super Bowl appearances.
Josh Allen also had the ball with 2 minutes to go in this year's divisional round and couldn't seal the game. He fumbled within the red zone, Bills recovered, then he proceeds that play with a near interception and incomplete passes.
Why do you also think that Joe Brady is taking the ball out of his hands more often? He can't be trusted to not turn it over in high pressure moments. The media that has anointed him to the highest pedestal also claimed he was going to win the Super Bowl and regular season MVP several seasons in a row now. He's come nowhere close to achieving either.

I agree freak injuries have been as a direct result of horrible O line play (knee) and wrist (Clowney's 300lb body trapping Shiesty's wrist as he was bracing his arm for the sack). The only time that they didn't advance to the Super Bowl, or AFCCG was when he was injured. They were 1 unblocked offsides Aaron Donald sack away from winning the Super Bowl.
It's really not crazy to see now why 4/5 O line from that Super Bowl squad are out of the league entirely. Hopefully we can limit the number of sacks drastically over the next few years because 148 sacks over 55 games is inexcusable. It's negligence by the Bengals prior to now to not surround him with top tier starting/backup depth O linemen pieces.

Josh Allen is not overrated is the real in terms of talent outside of Patrick Mahomes. He has arguably the best porn NFL sling that football and legit arguably second only to Lamar Jackson in terms of being a running quarterback. @@Mattmusic11111111 Brady defense won him SBs with him scoring 13pts or throwing for 150ys-1TD. Last year KC defense was amazing, but thats the FIRST time it happened to Mahomes. Brady has gotten a solid defense for most of his career.

Josh Allen has almost the same exact numbers as mahommes over the last 4 seasons, he has 25 more TDs and 25 more turnovers so its a wash. (here is an interesting fact guess who has the second most turn overs...MAHOMMES!!!!!! ) But lets get real other then the 2022 season where they lost to the bengals in the wild card, Josh has not turned the ball over, when he is in the playoffs, he is smart (again aside from 2022) He didnt commit one turn over last year in the playoffs, he positioned his team to win, but he cant catch the balls (diggs) or make the field goal (Bass). Get your head on straight Weis, your arguments are weak. Also Mahommes has had not just all star but all world weapons in Hill and Kelsey, a top 3 O-line every season he has played in the NFL, a solid run game year to year (d/t the online). Yes this year he lost hill but ohhh wait he now has the 2nd best defense in football!!!! with the best offensive head coach since BIll walsh, Allen has had no run game and (other then Dawkins who is a top 5 LT) he has had a revolving door on his O-line. First of all Mahomes literally won 2 Superbowls without Tyreek Hill and actually outside of Travis Kielce he won 2 without a Legitimate number 1 receiver
@@jakieresykes3644 I am not saying Mahomes is bad nor am i saying he is not the best qb in football, but it think sometimes we overlook the advantages he had over other QBs when we compare them. But you are right he didnt have Hill last year, but he had the number 2 defense in football, Top 3 Oline, and the greatest offensive mind scheming guys wide open in Andy Reid. And Kelcy for all intensive purposes is a W1, the dude puts up more numbers then most W1s. He had more receving yards then 49ers top two WR combined in the super bowl. (im not saying that is patricks fault, ANY Qb would kill to be in his place) But again im not saying Patrick is not the best in the league but for me im tired of everyone acting like there is this huge gap betwen Mahomes, Allen and burrow. i like Patrick he is a good dude and I watch new heights everyweek.
