Love your haul! I've learned over the years that I journal to memory keep events but not necessarily my feelings. The way my brain works, it doesn't release the emotion (especially if it's heavy or negative) but it actually makes it more 'sticky' in my brain and I just can't shake them. Love that five year journal...
I love that. I currently memory keep in my cousin in the weeklies - I call them my “have-dones” rather than “to-dos.” And it’s true when I do my flip throughs (a lot of rhyming happening here! 🤣), that I remember my feelings at the time just by remembering the experience. I’m tucking this in my pocket to remember when I use the 5 year. Thank you so much! 😊
Oh! That makes so much sense for me! I couldn’t cope with writing feelings because the sort of got stuck in my brain but this year, after several of not using a planer because it did not work for me, out of “I need a planner to cope with to dos and kids stuff” I have started doing that way as memory keeping, as little notes on the side of what happened that day and tracking activities (which makes me feel incredibly accomplish! As helps me actually see how much I do!) I felt like a click moment and everything fell into place for me.
I didn't know there's a 5 year gift set! It's absolutely stunning. I really enjoyed learning how you use everything, especially the list/calendar pages. I want to start using those too. Thanks for some lovely ideas!

I am still neck deep watching other videos. I love all the ideas. I’m feeling sentimental and am so far leaning toward recording an appreciative memory for each day. But! If I get ANOTHER one, I can het creative. Maybe wrote a story with a new scene or line added everyday. Just imagine!! 🤭 Keeping it up could get stressful….. or not?
I also fell in love with the 5 year gift set this year! I filmed my unboxing yesterday so hope to have a video out in the next few days. I am sooooo excited!

I also loved the yellow cover with the triangles and the black diamond like cover - I really should look up the names 🤦🏻♀️ The cat and girl was my second choice but my son said it looked creepy even though he also thought it suited my personality. I won’t read too much into the relationship between those two comments. Ha!
Hahaha I get it though! The colors and the looseness of that girl/cat illustration do seem like you, but their facial expressions and body language would be weird energy to carry around for a year.
😂 I have a sketch a day short somewhere in here of a microwave with a cup of coffee in it. I believe the prompt was “forget.” Reality is best served room temperature. 😂

My order is coming in today! Didn’t get a planner, just a cover but the 5 year Techo is gorgeous I’ve always planned on getting one or something similar to document the first years when I have children *^
I wish I had gotten a 5 year after my son was born. And then carried it on for maybe 15 years or even 20, so I could then gift them to him -- different things he'd done or said or what we did together throughout the years. I think it would have been fabulous (presuming I could have kept it up) but even if not, one year, I could certainly fill those pages. Especially now, as he's gotten older and is closer and closer to spreading wings and taking off, I find myself getting more and more attached to the idea of starting a baby book now -- when he's 16. Ha!
OH NO!! Thankfully I was just thinking today (during a 9-hour drive) that maybe I’ll leave it naked and find another use for the cover. Any ideas? Would it fit an original okay? I’m considering using an original as a collage-style type of journal. Of course I HAVE an original. I could just try it ….. I shall report back. 🤭🤗 And thank you for looking out for me!
Now I’m thinking I could use the cover for one of my a6 journals that I don’t use as often. But you’re right, maybe it looking worn and loved after 5 years will be testimony to all the life I live in 5 years 🤷♀️

I use the pencil board for lines no problem. I change pencil boards up as well as covers to keep me interested 😂

Be careful with a CoC on the white 5-year cover. Someone on Reddit said they put one on a linen cover and mold grew. YMMV
