  • Custom build to allow remote uncoupling of OO9 gauge with standard Peco or Bachmann couplings.
Plastic block mounts the motor and brass actuator tube to make it self-contained - can be screwed under the baseboard in any position. The T bar is pushed up by the motor but returns back down by gravity. The wood frame simulates my baseboard setup to test the theory.
I used DCC Concepts Cobalt SS motors mounted vertically with a short piece of copper soldered in the hole normally for the wire arm. This pushes a 1/8" square tube thru a 5/32" tube (K&S) the latter fixed in a slot in the plastic block. The 1/8" tube has a piece of brass soldered to the top.
The system has a lot of adjustment via moving the motor itself, the electronic throw and changing the length of the inner tube.
