imagine finishing your English exams and the very next day, there's a youtube video explaining the concepts you never knew existed. Thankfully, this came hours before the day of my exam
Thanks sir for your support this video would be really helpful for my h.w and my English exam which a month head of me may/June series. You explain it even more clear and easily than my English teacher

I have my First Language English exam tomorrow and while doing some last-minute revision when I found this really helpful video. Thanks for the better explanation.
Writing paper 1 in a few hours and I'm grateful I saw this in time. It honestly helped me understand journals and news reports more. I'm more confident in them now. Only issue is that you didn't go in depth with formal reports. I still don't fully comprehend the writing style expected of me here. Do you mind making a video for formal reports or you already have? All in all, thank you 😊.
Hey I have my iGCSE first language English exam in the march 2021 series do you have any advice to improve in these few months to get to grades. Thanks Love your videos
I would start by making sure you are completely confident with the core questions - writers effect, summary and extended writing response. Make sure you know how to approach each question. Ask yourself honestly: can you write in all 7 text types that could come up? If not, it's best to start practising formal report writing, newspaper reporting writing etc. then apply your skills to a q3. Only start past papers once you feel ready. There are quite a few 2020 papers now to help you familiarize yourself with the newer questions, too! Good luck!
This video was so helpful, thanks! Also, this question is unrelated but sometimes we are required to write an interview and the question says that the interviewer asks 3 questions only. However, my teacher says to write follow up questions in between...would this be allowed by the examiners?
Thank you so much for your videos which are very useful. Do you have videos for different texts in AS English language? News story, news article, review letter writing, speeches etc.
Yes, as long as what you quote is in line with their character and what they WOULD say. The text would lend itself to a newspaper report, so don't worry... There would be lots of relevant information you could include.
@@IGCSESUCCESS Yes I just watched it, thank you so very much. I am extremely nervous. My English teacher left and we haven't fully prepared. I am just trying to learn everything at once, cramming almost. Just before my first igcse english paper 1 exam this 5th of May. I am so very scared. But thank you so much.
Here's my letter, feel free to criticize it: "Dear Public Health Officer I am writing to alert you to a health and safety hazard: Sammy's Place. To begin with, the rooms seem to never be cleaned. This poses a significant risk to anyone staying there as dangerous insects and parasites could be lurking anywhere. Speaking of insects, the window is covered with tons of dead flies, and who knows how long they've been sitting there? In addition, the said window can not be opened. This is a very serious matter, because in the case of a fire you may not be able to evacuate the building. Furthermore, there are light bulbs that are in an unsafe condition that may hurt people suffering from elipesy. To sum up, Sammy's Place is a danger to our society and should be closed down immediately. Does it shelter you from the outside environment? Maybe. But does it keep our people safe? Absolutely not!"
Wait, so, you can add your own opinions and make up the plot? Or did you just extend the plot and use your opinions for this example. I'm confusedd. Send. Help.

You don't need to reword the questions and you aren't expected to add additional questions. A paragraph for each question is fine.
very useful and informative.

Hi sir, I would like to know what type and colour pen is best recommended to be used during our Cambridge IGCSE examination
a blue pen is a better choice compared to black as it stands out. For writing a gel pen is a good choice ( dont use pilot it gets messy)
@@ruchijaitly7475 thank you
Wait for igcse gel pen is highly unreccomended and even banned in britain
So, in newspaper reports can we make up quotations? even if the character hasn't said it in the extract.

Certainly a lot of explicit ideas included with some relevant development - seems a little on the short side, though.
