Since the BanG Dream! franchise has been around for 10 years now, and before I give the years and the series that have been released in the franchise, I will give the names of real-life, anime, and game-only bands. Poppin'Party was the very first real-life band in the franchise they were formed in 2015, Roselia was formed in 2016, RAISE A SUILEN was formed in 2017, RAISE A SUILEN was initially formed as a backing band for anime and game-only bands Glitter*Green, Chispa, Afterglow, Pastel*Palettes, and Hello, Happy World since the Seiyuu (Voice Actors) for those anime and game only bands don't play the instruments of the characters that they are voicing that's why RAISE A SUILEN was formed as a backing band for those anime and game only bands. They were initially called THE THIRD since they were the third real-life band in the franchise before they renamed it RAISE A SUILEN. Morfonica was formed around 2019 and was introduced in 2020, MyGO!!!!! was formed around 2021and they were introduced in 2022, Ave Mujica was formed around 2022 and was introduced in 2023, The most recent real-life band BanG Dream! ever formed is Mugendai Mewtype so far they don't have an anime yet and they are not in the game yet but they already put out live concerts in 2024 but most of their content right now is VTube Stuff since Mugendai Mewtype is a VTuber band that has a real-life band. Mugendai Mewtype is the very first band that was born out of a public audition they held an audition for this band in 2022 and at first I didn't pay too much attention to it since the theme is a Vtuber band so initially I thought it was just like those anime and game only bands since it's mentioned in the requirements that although an applicant can't play musical instruments it's okay as long as they can sing but it turns out the applicants that they ended up hiring are those who could also play musical instruments and the band was introduced in late 2023. so far BanG Dream! has 7 real-life bands Poppin'Party, Roselia, RAISE A SUILEN, Morfonica, MyGO!!!!!, Ave Mujica, and Mugendai Mewtype, and 5 anime and game-only bands Glitter*Green, Chispa, Afterglow Pastel*, Palettes, and Hello, Happy World. Now let's get into each and every series that BanG Dream! released each year. 2017: BanG Dream! Season 1 Season 1 focuses more on the formation of Poppin'party although bands such as Glitter*Green, and Chispa are also there. BanG Dream! OVA was also released the same year and the focus of the OVA is on both Poppin'Party and Roselia. 2018: In 2018 BanG dream! released two mini-series they are Pastel Life and Garupa Pico Season 1. 2019: BanG Dream! Season 2 Season 2 is where they introduced the other bands that are in the mobile game and Garupa Pico like Pastel*Palettes, Afterglow, and Hello, Happy World. This season focuses more on the formation of RAISE A SUILEN although it was in season 3 when they finally secured a permanent lineup. In 2019 BanG Dream! has a movie called BanG Dream! FILM LIVE. 2020: BanG Dream! Season 3 Season 3 is where we picked up what we left off in season 2 RAISE A SUILEN finally has a permanent lineup here and the focus is more on the 3 real-life bands Poppin'Party, Roselia, and RAISE A SULEN. In 2020 after BanG Dream! Season 3 Garupa Pico season 2 aired. 2021: In 2021 BanG Dream! released 3 movies, Episode of Roselia 1 and 2, and BanG Dream! FILM LIVE 2nd Stage. Garupa Pico season 3 also aired around this time. 2022: In 2022 BanG Dream! released 2 OVA's BanG Dream! CiRCLE Thanks Party, and Morfonication, Morfonication focuses on Morfonica. 2023: In 2023 BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! aired 2024: In 2024 BanG Dream released 2 MyGO!!!!! movies The first part, Haru no Hidamari, Mayoi Neko (春の陽だまり、迷い猫, Spring Sunshine, Stray Cat), and the second part, Utau, Bokura ni Nareru Uta & FILM LIVE (うたう、僕らになれるうた & FILM LIVE, Sing, A Song to Become Us & FILM LIVE). 2025: Is the current airing BanG Dream! Ave Mujica.
Ave Mujica is a gothic-themed metal band anime with psychological drama and it’s crazy good. The psychological aspects of the story are no joke, but you’ll need to watch the prequel MyGO (melodic hardcore and punk rock), first before jumping into Ave Mujica.
Bocchi the rock is crazy good, but they have no similarities with Ave Mujica aside from the characters being in a band. Ave mujica can be described as a physiological horror band anime, so do give it a shot if you're interested. But if you'll be watching it, you have to watch It's MYGO first! Since it's AveMujica's prequel, and important. And fun fact : the band (Ave mujica) is a real life band, that voices the characters in the anime!
If you are curious about watching Ave Mujica, I would like to note that at minimum its best to watch It's MyGO!!!!!, the previous BanG Dream! series, before checking this out. While Ave Mujica follows a different band than It's MyGO, the two series are directly linked to one another to point that Ave Mujica is like a "season 2 of It's MyGO" and assumes you watched it for the plot. Luckily, It's MyGO is also a great show even if you aren't into BanG Dream. There's also many previous BanG Dream series, but they aren't necessary to enjoy the main plot (mostly for cameos and some of the worldbuilding).
Ave Mujica "Elements" album is a masterpiece and probably one of the best mini-albums I've ever heard. It's 5 songs which are up on the youtube channel with their official MV if you want to react to them, each one being a different take on a different metal subgenre (except for one of them which is a ballad), definitely recommed hearing those 5 songs if you have the time (symbol I, II, III, IV and Ether). As for the anime, it's the sequel of MyGO!!!!! and even if it's part of a greater franchise, there's no need to watch any of the other besides mygo. It's a quite dark and unique take on the genre and leaning more on the psychological aspect of it.
Ave Mujica has an upcoming Special Live called "KiLLKiSS" this Sunday, February 2 2025 16:30 JST at KT Zepp Yokohama and it will be streamed live at BanG Dream!'s Official UA-cam Channel. The show will be in real time so there will be no archive. ua-cam.com/video/-QebQapndf8/v-deo.html
If you want to watch the anime, at least you have to watch the prequel, BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!. BanG Dream has pther anime and still in the same universe, but you don't have to watch all of them if you want to watch this anime
"BanG Dream!" is a cross-media IP that spans games, comics, novels, and animations. It was originally just a music rhythm game. It's a bit like "LOVE Live", where a girl group forms a band. The feature is that the voice actors who play the characters in the drama actually go on stage to play instruments and perform concerts. Interestingly, many voice actors in this series began to yearn for the career of voice actors after watching "LOVE Live". (The youngest voice actor debuted at the age of 15 and was still the lead singer.😱) The "Ave musica" you are watching now is the 9th band in the series (competing with the 8th band "It's MyGO!!!!!"). The style of music is mainly metal style (each band has a different style of expertise). I personally think that the music drum part of this band is the most impressive. If you want to start watching this animation, it is recommended to start with "BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!" The plot is very coherent (it's better to say this is the second season of MyGO😂). I also recommend you to listen to their debut song (it will intersperse the footage with the LIVE footage for comparison) 「Ave Mujica」(Official Anime × Live Video) ua-cam.com/video/QDsd0nyzwz0/v-deo.html Oh, I forgot to mention that this season of anime (MYGO) has become a hot topic because the way the plot unfolds is different from previous girl band anime of the same nature based on its revolutionary nature, I would call it the "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" of the idol series(In recent episodes, there have indeed been witches appearing🤣)
Oh, I would definitely recommend checking the full op, especially the live version. They went crazy man.
The crowd roaring at the intro song of the live version always gives me shivers oof
Def will
And great reaction ! Also you watching the full version of the ending after the tv size version is such a mood lolol
😂ngl that ending slapped hard, no way i was stopping after only hearing that metal bit for 10 secs😄

"puella magi madoka magica" of idol series is very accurate lol, i don't think anyone could've expected how intense mygo anime got
Sounds really cool! I’ll check out the song, and if theres enough interest to start, I'll def check out the anime😄😄
