PS: I live in Sacramento, California. The evening after posting my original comment, I attended my artist group meeting. The conversation turned to UA-cam channels. One of the artists mentioned that Yeats Makes was her favorite channel, and several other guests agreed. Just thought you should know that you're a cult figure in northern CA.
Lol! One day I'll maybe I'll get to have to visit northern California. Its a dream to visit Big Sur as that is my favourite that book by Kerouac. Very sweet of you to pass that on - kind of surreal - but really appreciated and rewarding!!! much love from england
@@yeatesmakes I do hope you get to fulfill your dream. Big Sur is stunning. Maybe you could teach some workshops when you visit. Many of us would like to learn from you in person and receive your inspiration and encouragement.
@@yeatesmakes Haven’t read the Kerouac book but didn’t he stay in a cottage for a couple of months writing it? Henry Miller wrote a memoir, I think, called Big Sur and the Oranges of Heironymous Bosch, a nice evocative title, although evocative of exactly what is hard to say ;o) Always meant to read both. Big Sur has changed a lot since they lived there but, because it’s protected in perpetuity, it will never be any more commercial than it was 1973, the first time I saw it. Love the other viewer’s idea about you teaching classes to help fund your trip. There are all kinds of community schools in San Francisco, which is a sublime 3 hr drive away. It’s like being in another dimension.

My art journey comes in spurts, but I have been watching since the beginning. I love all the unique tips you present. It's a breath of fresh air. In the US, we put jelly and jam on toast. Jello is what we call desert made from gelatin.

I love what you said about mixed media, how, it's perfectly "acceptable" to combine different mediums when creating "serious art" (as long as the various media are "credited" on items for sale. New to this medium. My first attempt was interesting. I used b/w images fr a paperback book about native Americans I’ve had for years. I should have left photos on longer to get a clearer image but I kinda like that it was faded. As I worked I realized it had become a sad statement on the disappearance of tribes and their culture fr our society.

I’ve only discovered your channel this past week. So, congratulations on a year long run! Jelly in the US is jelly. Jam is jam. But Jello ™, that’s a brand name for flavored gelatin. Unflavored gelatin can be used to make a gel-plate!

Delicious! Thanks for the review and Happy Anniversary! BTW, in the US we have jelly, jam, marmalade and the jiggly stuff is JELLO. We have pudding too, but it's like your custard. Our pudding is fluffier than our custard and we don't do savory custards. LOL Who knew dessert was so complicated? I've learned a lot from your channel and creativity, so much appreciation your way.
