These guys were pros! This was literally one of the last great moments of generation x. Nothing but good times and laughs
This takes me back. When I was a kid living in Massachusetts there was a kid in school who got his hands on one of these tapes. He turned into one of the most popular kids in school cause of that shit, only one we knew at the time who had one.
I thought it might've been me as well lol! I was in Ludlow MA at the time and my cousing taped me this. I was the only one who had it until a month or two later when the CD album came out.
Thats how I heard this for the first time! My cousin let my brother and I listen to this around xmas 1991. We made copies and gave them to friends as well. We even have home videos of our own from that time doing the impressions. Good Times
Thanks so much for this. I grew up with this stuff. Inspired me to do voices, as I'm sure it did countless others. I gotta say, I didn't know this is where the John Musacha character came from. I always heard he was a part of the original Jerky Boys but I'd never heard him on the same tape
1992....you are correct sir.... I was a sophomore in high school it was April we were on a Easter vacation trip in Italy and one of the guys gave me the bootleg tape and NWA N4LIFE yo listen to at night on my Walkman.....eye opening and laughter inducing.....ty
I remember my buddy in college bringing this to school from NY in roughly 1988, spring. The trio was Johnny, John Musacha and Kamal. They only wanted to sign Johnny and kamal so John went and did his own tape. It’s pretty good and contains some of these calls. My friends from college and I still use some of these classic lines to this day!
wow been so long since I heard this I remember a friend got it as a chain letter in the mail very early before anyone knew who Jerky Boys were. This is like the demo for what was to come, Johnny dont even sound grown up yet.
These bootlegs showed up in California.... I was in 9th grade and John Trice put this cassette on the stereo in the weight room in 7th period PE. People went nuts, copies were made and the rest is history. The bootlegs are waaaay better than the edited CD's that came out years later.
Fun Fact: The Musacha Tapes was in the Jerky Boys bootleg tape, but it was separate from the Jerky Boys bootleg tape. Maybe that's why The Musacha Tapes had to turn into its own album after that. Who knows that theory back then?
Still have this. Made it's way up to Maine through fellow musician friends. 5 of us roommates would scream "GET BRETT WEIR I SAID..." Hell, the whole tape we would recite. Ridiculous fun! Interesting listening to the vernacular of these New Yorkers!

Dude that whole build up to him saying sue everybody had me fucking FLOORED
I remember first listening them in 1992 and dying of laughter.
Had it in 92! Passed around Long Island.
I was listening to these guys in the early 90s to this day I still put them on when I’m down a bit and these guys just make me crack up my mom was almost 80 years old when she was listening to this and she broke out hysterically laughing a friend of mine gave me the tape and I copied it my friend was an attorney he said to go get a copyrighted I said now that’s that material what I’m getting at is these guys make me laugh so much to this DAY Love you guys
Calling from a pizzeria........ damn this is a little glimpse into a lost world
I remember hearing these bootlegs in 92 from a friend's brother that lived in the city. 15 years old and stoned all the time. I laughed so hard lol! We had all done pranks but nothing was like this. These guys were pros! This was literally one of the last great moments of generation x. Nothing but good times and laughs
I had the original tapes. I let a "friend" borrow them and never saw them again.
That friend needs the ass torn out of him!
@@rileycoyote8275 fire a hot cup of coffee at him!
Get the tape back, lose the taker friend!
@@Jondsmusic I haven't seen the guy since 2001.
@@LiberalsArePoop sounds like you’re better off!
Thanks for this. So good... and the hand writing and tape look exactly like the one I listened too
Geoff Jones i was thinking the same thing lol... Kids today have no idea what this is lol
@@jasonsantiago2428 Kids today don't know a lot of shit, this is just one of the things they will never appreciate!
good to hear all of these... i had forgotten all about how much the Musacha tapes made me laugh back in the day... good stuff.
This takes me back. When I was a kid living in Massachusetts there was a kid in school who got his hands on one of these tapes. He turned into one of the most popular kids in school cause of that shit, only one we knew at the time who had one.
I grew up in Randolph and got one. What part were you in?
Franklin.
I thought it might've been me as well lol! I was in Ludlow MA at the time and my cousing taped me this. I was the only one who had it until a month or two later when the CD album came out.
Ah this brings me back... thanks.
I listened to this with my friends in the same year !!!! Wow ....I dont believe it!!! Very Cool!!
Thats how I heard this for the first time! My cousin let my brother and I listen to this around xmas 1991. We made copies and gave them to friends as well. We even have home videos of our own from that time doing the impressions. Good Times
Yes!! Great hearing this again thanks👍😂!
Thanks so much for this. I grew up with this stuff. Inspired me to do voices, as I'm sure it did countless others. I gotta say, I didn't know this is where the John Musacha character came from. I always heard he was a part of the original Jerky Boys but I'd never heard him on the same tape
Not a day goes by that I don't respond to someone in one of the many Jerky voices. The legend of John Mustache continues to grow!
Johnny Brennan morphs into Sol Rosenberg...Classic.
Thanks for posting and the laughs😂
1992....you are correct sir.... I was a sophomore in high school it was April we were on a Easter vacation trip in Italy and one of the guys gave me the bootleg tape and NWA N4LIFE yo listen to at night on my Walkman.....eye opening and laughter inducing.....ty
It's good to have friends like that!
I remember playing this tape to my stoner mate who was whacked asf, he was laughing so hard he was actually crying.
Good thing it was recorded to an awesome tape like a Maxell XLII. Those are the best
I remember:) Tape rules!
Listening to the JB and driving down a mountain do not mix...i damn well almost drove off the cliff laughing
All I remember was the cute signs you got about the bad driving))) Be careful out there bother or you'll get too nutty.
Thanks for this!!!
This is gold. So good!
These bootlegs showed up in California....
I was in 9th grade and John Trice put this cassette on the stereo in the weight room in 7th period PE. People went nuts, copies were made and the rest is history.
The bootlegs are waaaay better than the edited CD's that came out years later.
I’m curious, what year did you first hear it? Probably only took a few months to get to the West Coast. Pre internet, of course. 😉
I wasn't even born when this was made but I can appreciate that quality before the bullshit we have today
GET BRETT WEIR I SAID !!!
Fun Fact: The Musacha Tapes was in the Jerky Boys bootleg tape, but it was separate from the Jerky Boys bootleg tape. Maybe that's why The Musacha Tapes had to turn into its own album after that. Who knows that theory back then?
Absolute gold.
I like how he asks the guy - "do you wear glasses"! Like that has any bearing on the situation Sol is having! Too funny!
This was better than any professional tape they put out
Brooooo I had this when I was a kid and got in a pool with it in my pocket, ruined it haha thank you so much
this is off the charts & extremely (rare)
I bought it new when it first came out on cassette. So long ago & lots of laughs.
LMFAO I remember listening to this tape 😂 LOL These guys are awesome..LMFAO..👍🏼🤣 still laughing 😆
As soon as possible! That line always makes me laugh, his painful urgency! 😂
Still have this. Made it's way up to Maine through fellow musician friends.
5 of us roommates would scream "GET BRETT WEIR I SAID..."
Hell, the whole tape we would recite. Ridiculous fun!
Interesting listening to the vernacular of these New Yorkers!
Listened yo this non stop from Columbus OH to Chicago
