Why is Floyd fighting mcgregor and not a young hard hitting real boxer? Because he's got nothing left to prove. The man fought the best and he beat the best. Fighters like de la Hoya, Marquez, pacquiao, Ortiz, hatton. All these fighters were in their prime and the man not only beat them he smoked them in that ring. This fight would obviously be about money. Me as a fan I'll watch the best ever one last time in pay per view.

The only chance McGregor has to beat Floyd "IF" and that's a big question, "IF" this fight happens, Connor has to catch Floyd early to force his tempo on this fight. Is McGregor faster than Pacquiao, Canelo, Maidana, De La Hoya, Sugar Shane, or any of those fighters? He'll have to train for speed and stamina. MMA Fights are either 3-5 Rounds and last in 5 minute intervals. Floyd goes usually 12 Rounds in 3 minute intervals.
That means even at McGregors limits he hasn't gone the distance half as long as Floyd. Unless he catches Money early, this fight could wind him out in the later 7-12 rounds. I haven't seen Mcgregor go long in his fights, they're usually in a few seconds. I want to see how good his wind is because he's going to need all of it trying to get Floyd in that ring.
I'm not saying McGregor doesn't have a chance. I'm saying McGregor's only chance is to get Floyd early. other than that, he's playing right into Floyd's game. He wants to make this a long and frustrating evening, with him outpointing McGregor and winning by Unanimous Decision. Connor is always thinking Knockout, so he'll be very aggressive. For his sake, he better pace himself, or he could tire out late in the fight.

Conor isn't going to come out to box. He is going to do some unorthodox shit because he knows he can't box Floyd. The one thing McGregor is famous for is his preparation for specific opponents. He has the deadliest left hand in MMA. He has the best distance control in MMA. He is also a precise surgeon when it comes to counter-punching advancing opponents.
McGregor will look to make Floyd advance, something Floyd doesn't do. Floyd is a defensive boxer. The greatest defense in boxing. If Floyd comes out cocky thinking he can KO McGregor, that's exactly what Conor wants. If Floyd boxes Conor like he has all his opponents, then he will win.
Conor will not chase Floyd. Everyone has made this mistake. He will wait for the perfect strike. People who don't know underestimate his striking skill. He is accurate as you can be, and times everything perfectly.

80% chance Floyd wins by decision
