Okay thanks
THANKS YOU.
We machinists love the sound of the engine, it would be better if there was no music.
Absolutely agreed
agree
Absolutely yes...!!!
"Daddy, is that a city??" "No son, that's an engine..."
As a retired machinist, just the forethought that it took, but the rigging to lower the crankshaft through and the lowering it into place from pre- established grips from overhead. All thought out before a move was made. Bravo!
Amazing most powerful engine manufacturers
Chế tạo máy móc hiện đại hóa mình thích xem chúc bạn vui lòng thaks hi
It's an extraordinary work, rarely has anyone ever thought that such a large machine was made by humans.
Le boulot de dingue! Chapeau aux équipes de techniciens.
The machines need as much credit as we can give
Diesel Mechanic is mechanic bro 🔥🔥🔥🔥 ❤️❤️
TDI
geweldige opname.
Lets twin turbo this beast!
Hvae fun finding turbos big enough
@@MrThunderCunt some or maybe most of two-stroke diesel engine this big have turbos.
On the 14 cylinder the crankshaft weighs 300 tons, the complete engine weighs 2,300 tons, The small 7.5 ton crankshaft being replaced is on a Holland America cruise ship, The Westerdam I Believe.
I do so miss the working on these large engines onboard, except perhaps when it was stinking hot!!
It is NOT most powerful engine. Rocket engines produce milions HP. The right should be " Most powerful internal combustion piston engine"
fault of uploader. Win GD claim was most powerful Otto Cycle engine.
@pete w why need to do that ???
Need to differentiate between shaft horsepower and thrust equivalent.
Am proud of these contries really you people are great pray to God for the success of each and every member of this factory god bless you all for Bright fucture and further developmment thanks
Japan, Germany, USA, UK, France, Italy, Russia south Korea and China
Interesting will be also to see the machines and production who produce all the parts of this engine
hey, may I use your videos in an edit? I will give you full credit and use them for now. If you wish, I'll remove them asap. Thanks in advance!
Of course, man
Well, i think that’s will fit in my civic 💁♂️
Thankyou'smuch...thebestbigengines
Great video to watch. Rarely seen
Wouldn’t it be amazing if this manufacturing was happening in the US again?
Boggles the mind how massive the engines & components are!
If you see it in real life you will be shocked by it
Excellent video and people how is working on the engine Awesome and badass engineers.
Reminds me when I replaced the crankshaft and bearings in my car. Not quite the same scale though. 😄

I remember as an engineering student in China about "camshaft", " crankshaft" and all the engineering tables of numbers and all the nonsense ... they are all important. We humans can not survive without all the technologies regardless how absurd they are. This is the the dirty jobs most can careless about it but everyone lives on it.
drug addicts can choose not to care but engineers get money
Bonjour
😅
And now they are bigger and more powerful.
Wow. Amazing work. Greetings from the Philippines. Mabuhay.
I'm surprised that engine is supper powerfully with the a good technology thanks for your work with pride 😤 fabricate nice and nit. Congratulations 👏 peoples.
🤔Strasbourg ✋
Didn't see any type of Plastigage used for either fitments. Curious as to what the nominal bearing clearances are for both engines.
Nice
"We're going to start building the engine, but first we must build the cat walks "
I wonder how much oil these things need.
Realy I like this video
That thing is so huge.😳Wow.
Wawww se jeant thanke you very match forever goode job 👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪😍😍😍
Technology sure has come along way since the Ford flathead.
I am sure the first engine entire universe is not ford
Wow . . .really incredible engine machine😀😁😂😃😀really great amazing😀😁😂🤗🤗😃
Easy maintenance !! what a job getting that camshaft into the engine room, should have been able to lower it length ways down in from the upper deck through watertight hatches into the engine room ,that side hatch is far too small so how do bigger parts get taken to the engine room ? then of course the old part needs to go out the same way. Not a good design for repairs
This engine doesn't have a camshaft....
ships engines are typically installed part way into the ship's during construction and have part of the ships structure built around them. while bolted covers can be installed for easy replacement of "smaller" parts, some repairs and overhauls require a shipyard to cut away structure to be reinstalled later. (nice thing about steel is you can cut it apart and weld it back together as many times as you need to). Large engines like this are designed to last. these engines also don't see too much abuse, as they are operated and maintained by licensed engineering officers, making such large overhauls fairly infrequent.
Damn it's huge!
Thanks bro
That's what she said.
I would install it in my Passat
How about my weedeater?
Lol. Good luck with that.
@@MultiHondaa ....or should I say YARD eater.
It's bigger than my house
World's biggest fear was losing weight and get a ride to the store for me and my phone is on his way engine best.. You are so sweet and I was going through.
Will this fit in a miata
Imagine the new apprentice being told to go fetch a torque wrench for the main bearing nuts !😂
Kamu mau apa ?
Very impressive. Massive is not hyperbole.
Excuse me... ?? I can use this motor to make a motorcycle.. 😁
Yes you can , how big are you 100 feet? Or more than.....
It will be universal powerful bike.
Yes If you want
You can use it for your motorcycle after I mount one to my Ultralight aircraft! 🤔❤🇺🇸
It looks like the power unit for my ex wife's vibrator. 🤔
Okay thanks again for your time and effort into the world OK thanks by Paal Muruganantham Palakkad kerala India OK thanks again for your time and effort into the world OK thanks by Paal
Wonderfull made its engine views
Yes. As an auto motive technician I certianly enjoyed watching this video.👍👍👍👍
What is your function in your job!!???? Are You a designer!!!???? I like so much, to create new things but I have no the knowledge to do it!!!!!!!
@@wilfredoabrego16 as I said. Im an auto technician. I repair and maintain automotive vehicles in an auto repair shop.
@@wilfredoabrego16 but. Most mechanical things interest me.
The engine is so massive that it looks like they are building a four storey house.
A👍Mazing
Guys will still want to put one of these in a Honda.
Nó mạnh lắm nó đúng nghĩa là đốt dầu
can you imagine trying to adjust the valves on this thing??
Right..lol i wonder how much a head gasket weighs, or the size of that injector pump is huge..just amazing
I wonder how much an injector sprays on each stroke at full power, 20 gallon?
@@terriwebb5093 the head gasket is just a ring that fits in a Grove on most of them - the the cooling water is hooked up out side of the head with tubes
Interestingly, the bigger the engine, the less heavy lifting is required from the technicians.
If you work on one you will find out differently lol.
oh, i much rather the hand-sized parts of an engine.
all i know education is beautiful
I can hear the conversation. “How much will it take to replace the crank?” “Oh about 40 man weeks!” “I think I’ll go with a gas turbine”
The ship designers didn't help at all. They made the task for the maintenance as difficult as it can be.
wow.amazing
i wanna put that massive engine on my lawmower.........more power oh oh oh- we will call it the binford 10000
I Love SULZER !!!
Great video
Hard to believe that this is better than installing multiple mass produced engines.
You think for 10 smaller? That is ten times more chance for any problem.
@@ddomino14 Keep it to four - they aren't going to all break down at the same time, and parts will be more readily available world wide for a proven design.
Bruce Haddow The bigger the engine, the better the overall efficiency we get. Even an increase in 0.5% of efficiency make a big impact. Think about the procurement, installation, control systems, operation, and maintenance cost of two 5 Megawatts engines versus a single 10 megawatt engine for a power plant for 30 years. Two 5 MW system will cost significantly more, if not double, than a 10 MW system.
Also there is a limit on how big we could go and the overall efficiency will comedown after certain point. It may be cost effective to build 10x 100 MW system vs a 1000 MW system.
Made in finlandia.. very good
what a machine.
Now THAT was absolutely astounding..........................out of curiosity, how long did it take to change out that crankshaft....
Probably a few weeks.
Không thể tin được. Quá khổng lồ
Wooow,, mantap tehnologi
How often do you need to change oil in that? I wonder if olimpic pool would be enough to drop down used oil...
In stationary engines they don't change oil they only change oil filters -
They do use grade 3'or 4 oil.- it's the same for locomotive engines - during WW2 they found out that as engines used up oil and there was make up oil added - that was equal to an oil change -
Many fleet operators no longer change oil in there trucks or equipment - I worked on stationary engines for decades on offshore platforms and ships - even as we changed out. Pistons and bearings or rebuilt engines we used the same oil - they do use centrifuges remove water from cylinder liner water leaks -
Oil changing is more so a automotive deal - I don't change oil in my truck just the oil filter - I also use grade 3 or 4 commercial grade motor oil as used in fleet diesel engines - I get past 500000 miles out my trucks
@@able880 that is impressive.
They probably go to Jiffy Lube
An engine that size will have lubrication purifiers that take all the contaminants out of the oil. They will schedule oil samples regularly. The sump is a dry sump meaning that the oil is pumped from a tank to the the engine and the the oil runs down to the sump and pumped to the purifier and sent back to the reservoir tank for recirculating around the engine again
@@able880 I agree to a point, Ship engines oil are run through purifers and samples taken,
Maravillado con esos motores 👍

Great video but a Voice over would have been nice!
Should be the world's biggest shed - how many of the most powerful engines on the world are they planning to build simultaneously?
Lý tưởng to khác thường cho dù gia công chính xác hoàn hảo .rồi cũng nỗi thời .
I want to see the mill they used on the head! Lol
remembering the good old days working with 16V32CLX NIIGATA engine....⭐️⭐️⭐️
Géant 😉
Wow that’s a huge engine
Could have done without the music...!
Always fade out in a montage, (montage)
If you fade out
It seem like more time has passed in a montage (montage)
You got a volume button
Is the best👍👍
Look at the size of the heads on the engine!
i would like to see how they cast the large pieces = crank cases, etc.
When your fuel injector lines are the size of a fire hose 😂
Wartsila-finland
It probably sinks reall nice too
The biggest diesel engine in the world
Its bigger than the Average Man's House
EXCELENTE TRABAJO EN EQUIPO
Exelente tecnologia quisiera estar con ellos
Man I wanted to see what they used to torque down the mains on the driveshaft
They use hydrolic torque wrenches these days originally we used hammer wrenches and multipliers
Would like to see the feeler gauges
Normal thickness range 👍
