Love this unit that thing sounds smooth
Totally love my Phoenix audio gear. I have 2 500 series, and 4 EQ/mic pre strips. You can push that EQ all over creation and it sounds great.

Would it be good to use also the pre on the mix bus for some transformer sound?
To use it as line input all we need is PAD on? Cheers
Yes you can use the pad to reduce the input level to accept a line level input
